Another $210? I think the L8S and L8P are around RMB1750 (~USD250) on Taobao. So they want to charge you more during the sale instead.- saldsald

Low end. Cheap. Generic. Otherwise bang for buck cable thread!
Yeah, and there used to be a 'guide' on how to measure cable resistance with a multimeter and spreadsheet of the mesurements. Search YMC01 on AliEx. Get the 2ohm version which costs around 15 to 20.- saldsald

Low end. Cheap. Generic. Otherwise bang for buck cable thread!
Hi, cross posting from another cable thread. Just want to show how inaccurate and meaningless it is to measure cable resistance, especially with a multimeter (I bought this to check if I can identify an expensive plug from a cheap plug judging by the resistance): this is a Micro Ohm Meter, not...- saldsald

DIY IEM/Headphone Cables
This is roughly a 15AWG cable, per wire, checked the resistance of each wire, 0.032, 0.032, 0.031, 0.031, so I think as long as they are soldered correctly you don't have to worry about the resistance inconsistence anyway. Cardas Clear Light Cheapo XINHS copper cable. Hi, just showing here...- saldsald

Maybe it is just me but this Cloud is just so different from what I have heard. I think it's actually more resolving than a planar. It's just too resolving and thus sharp at times I am still rolling tips to reduce the sharpness (don't mix up sharpness with perki-ness).- saldsald

Wow, just give the Cloud a better cable. The rendition of this is ridiculous! That clarity, tone, resolution, texture and layering! (occasionally a bit bright thou, sharp but not sibilant nor piercing)- saldsald

Hey this has one of the most resolving mids/upper mids I have heard seriously. The bass texture and the transient (Hmmm, I rarely use this word) are also top notch, with my oxidized DIY cable!- saldsald

Elysian Pilgrim
Personally I find the Pilgrim does need a cable swap for some bassier songs like below. The stock cable is pretty revealing and has a very good spacious stage but the treble is a little hot and it doesn't get the punch when needed. The treble also gets a little much exaggeration for electric...- saldsald

Hmmm, it's just some wires and it's best practice to tin the tip of the wires again after removing the existing so don't worry honestly. https://www.head-fi.org/threads/diy-iem-headphone-cables.968497/post-17910808- saldsald

Effect Audio cables thread
I am still in the process of comparing the Pilgrim OG and Pilgrim NOIR using this Grammy winning album and noticed something very interesting: While the OG is brighter and has a less dense mids region, and more "hollow" (no negative meaning here) in general. The rendition clarity by the NOIR...- saldsald
