New Dragonfly Black and Red Discussion
A friend of mine has a dragonfly red but wants more output for his 600ohm cans. would it be ok for him to get a decent headphone amp and hook this up in-line with this dac? will there be any sound quality issues since he'll be technically double amping the signal? Thank you very much :)- TheTodd

I'm using my 6s Plus streaming via Spotify and i have the Onkyo HF Player. For my workplace setup i am using a Project Ember Amp with a 6DJ8 tube and my Fostex TH900 Headphones and i think it sounds wonderful. The Hardest hitting Headphones are.. ( "The EXTREME BASS Club")
Ok this may have already been asked but hell there are 500+ pages lol. Other than the both Fostex, which Cans out of the top ten list have the best sound quality and soundstage???? I do like the V-Moda quite a bit but they have Zero soundstage and pretty heavy clamping force- TheTodd

The Hardest hitting Headphones are.. ( "The EXTREME BASS Club")
I have the V-Moda M100's and I think they sound horrible and distorted with the XL pads. I thought my headphones broke, I had 4 others from work sample them too and they all thought the same thing so it wasn't my imagination (this was at very high volume levels mind you). When I threw the stocks...- TheTodd

Fostex TH900 Impressions & Discussion Thread
I am in the hunt for a semi portable version of the Fostex TH900's and the Oppo PM-3 just weren't it. The sound was still clean and crisp but it lacked LOWs pretty badly and didnt have much soundstage. Clamping force was pretty strong especially for a person who wears glasses. I wish there were...- TheTodd

I also may not even EQ it at all. The amp i will be using at my place of employment will be a Project Ember and i enjoy tube rolling with that amp, it really makes a noticeable difference. Ive got a good telefunken tube that really seems to bring out warmth and lows so i will be using that one i...- TheTodd

Oppo PM-3 : The Portable Planar - Impressions
Thanks for that, i wont be cranking the bass up high or anything like that. i just may end up turning it up a notch or two. I have been looking on Oppo's site for Refurbished ones and one finally popped up today. Is it worth the $80 in savings by getting the Refurbs over brand new ones?- TheTodd

Oppo PM-3 : The Portable Planar - Impressions
I think ive decided to go with the PM-3's and ill EQ the low end frequencies. Im more of a Modiophile thats why im EQ'ing. I know alot of people including myself that EQ the hell out of their TH900's :) with that being said Audio Technica did just come out with their A1000Z's and other reviews...- TheTodd

She's not way to bad. She doesn't get on me day in and day out about it or anything like that. I do seem to make everything a hobby it seems and when I get into something I normally go all out. She does point that out and it's not a good habit to have. Music is a passion of mine though, above...- TheTodd

I did. I need to Change my Sig. I have sold the other headphones. Momentum 2.0 was one i was considering. Also Oppo PM-3. To be honest i loved the way my old V-Moda M100's sounded except they lacked major soundstage. Now that ive owned these TH900's, soundstage is important to me too lol- TheTodd

Didn’t really know where else to post the question. Unfortunately I have to sell my TH900's. I’ve had my 6S + for a little more than a week now and I haven't heard any hissing or white noise at all even when scrolling through apps. only time I hear any hissing is when I’m streaming Spotify or anything for that matter, I still have to turn my LTE off then it’s perfectly fine.
