I use L-pads with GH2 .... 🎼 🥰 🎶. To me, GH2 is tonally well balanced, not 'massively bassy', has nice upper register extension (not peak). The hard cocobolo wood makes GH2 a 'snappier' sibling of the soft Norwegian pine GH4.
