i2ehan, sorry i got no decent camera to take pics with, especially if it's a small paint chip on a small item like an earphone. but the sony logo on each earpiece is embossed and on its other side it seems the model number and the L and R signs are just printed normally. no fading or...- rolz

the ex600's letterings dont fade because they're like embossed or something. the paint on mine though have a little chipping, especially the edges.- rolz

11 New Sony BA IEMs
they don't look like they have replaceable cables. that's too bad...i was expecting sony to use the sweet cables of the new EX series on their future products.- rolz

i got a listen to the two most recommended jazz albums here. Coltrane's Blue Train and Miles Davis' Kind of Blue. They do sound great on the ex600. but i do hear some hiss on the recordings. lowering the volume helps a bit because i normally listen loud. sometimes the hiss sounds like constant...- rolz

speaking of liquids... the left earpiece on my ex600s kinda landed on very shallow water(i just won't give the details lol). i was freakin' scared to death! they still sounded fine after though... which begs the question...are these IEMs, somehow, weather-sealed/proof (or some other term like...- rolz

Sony MDR-EX600 vs Vsonic GR07
they are VERY comfortable imo. fiddling, i think, comes when you first get acquainted to the design. slowly you learn your own technique with the fat memory wire and the angle of insertion. took me long to realise that the side where there's an embossed sony logo are the ones to face front on...- rolz

Sony MDR-EX600 vs Vsonic GR07
massive attack on the ex600 sounds awesome!!! teardrop's soundstage is grand and liz frazer's vocals sound heavenly. most of their tracks emphasize bass, they sound tight and punchy. angel, for example. female vocals really depend. i do have tracks that sound sibilant on it, very tolerable though.- rolz

kiteki is FEMALE :o true about recording quality and sibilance. mostly on vocals but i hear it sometimes on instruments like cymbals and electric guitars. i got the cowboy junkies' platinum and gold collection on my DAP and the first track, their rendition of the velvet underground's sweet...- rolz

Sony MDR-EX600 vs Vsonic GR07
i had to choose between these two a couple of months ago. they were similarly priced around $150. i chose the ex600. winning factor was the replaceable cable and the design(unique and big) :D isolation wasnt too much of a factor for me and wind noise scared me a little because i commute and...- rolz

they are indeed comfortable :D they're also very well-built. i've never read of any build issues or breaking down so far about the ex600s or the new EX series for that matter. who here has had their sony EX's the longest btw? i'm guessing it's still chugging along pretty well :D- rolz

Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)
i'd like to read joker's opinion on the sound quality between the ex600 and 1000. from the massive threads for both models, i reckon the general consensus is about 10-20 percent in sound quality. with the 1000's soundstage only slightly larger than that of the 600's. and now the ex600s are...- rolz
