Is this with an input cable plugged in and that source is selected? Though would be better to just short out the inputs for this test, would need shorting caps on the input jacks- justin w.

Did they say why? Is the transformer vibrating and the tubes are picking it up microphonically? Or were you hearing 'transformer noise' because your head was close to the chassis? If possible please PM me the name/email of who you talked to- justin w.

Feliks Audio ENVY
Is the channel imbalance at any particular point on the volume knob? The Atrium has a sensitivity of 96dB/mW, which is pretty high. For comparison the HIFIMAN Susvara is 83dB/mW. Possibly you could hear 0.0001 Volts of signal with the Atrium, but not with the Susvara at all It is also very...- justin w.

I don't think that changing the power transformer would affect hum in the audio, mechanical hum yes Also, Upscale Audio is no longer the Feliks distributor. AFAIK there is no U.S. distributor anymore, only dealers. If it is the problem we'd be capable of replacing the power transformer.- justin w.

Hi, I have actually been doing quite a bit of work trying to figure this out. I think the low level hum, in med/high gain, with sensitive headphones, might be partially resolvable, but at a minimum is going to require modifications to the design - that is where I'm at right now. Other than...- justin w.

HeadAmp Grand Cayman DHT Electrostatic Amp
it depends what it is, if you had an older amp where you're running 115/230V to a power switch on the front panel, you'd want twisted wire. if you had AC heaters for all of the tubes, you'd want twisted wire and not to run the 50/60Hz on circuit board traces. We could wire some of the amp point...- justin w.

Yes, pre-orders can choose the standard or deluxe model - that email will be going out very soon. The standard models are going to be shipping first, followed by the Deluxe. There has been an added delay on getting the motorized stepped attenuators for the deluxe version but we should have it...- justin w.

Been doing a lot of listening with serial #001 while we keep going on our assembly! This is, by far, the best amp we've ever made for any type of dynamic/planar even those that don't require tons of power (which it can also easily provide). I was also doing some A/B comparison with a Feliks Envy...- justin w.

A lot, which is partly why it is taking a while. I didn't expect we would get nearly as many pre-orders as have come in, but ultimately a good thing! At this point, we're getting amps built up and ready to go. Not much time for anything else- justin w.

Stax SR-X1 (new entry model)
I just unopened a SRS-X1000. Unboxing impressions: - The amp chassis is very sturdy, a smooth volume knob with a nice quality on/off switch - The headphones are smaller than I expected. They are also extremely light. Even though the ear pads are round, the opening on the inside is an elongated...- justin w.
