Hifiman HE1000 Planar Dynamic Headphone
Thanks! I hope to try the SE version before long. But I have a feeling the Stealth won't be going anywhere, as I really enjoy the little extra bass.- PinkyPowers

ZMF Atrium - new open-back co-flagship
I still need to get a tube amp to find out for myself. I need to recover from all my recent purchase, though, before I get the Aegis. :)- PinkyPowers

ZMF Atrium - new open-back co-flagship
Tonight I did a thorough A/B of Atrium vs HE1000 Stealth for my upcoming Stealth review. A brief summery: Atrium is warmer, but only by a few shades. Treble is thicker on Atrium, but smoother and more airy on HEK. Mids are richer and sweeter on Atrium, with more emotion. HE1000 delivers more...- PinkyPowers

Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
Tomorrow I'll be breaking out the HD6xx for some A/B against the HE1000 Stealth. It's going to be a bloodbath for the technical performance of the Senn, but I know I'm going to thoroughly enjoy that rich, succulent tonality again. I always do. :o2smile:- PinkyPowers

Yes, do as Lucky says. Whatever you do, don't put stress on the plastic headband. But the metal sliders can be bent easily and safely. :)- PinkyPowers

This reminds me of an argument I fell into on Reddit, about burn-in. The guy told me it can't be measured on a frequency graph, therefore it cannot be real. I pointed out there are many things we perceive in our audio gear that cannot be measured on a frequency graph, like soundstage, detail...- PinkyPowers

Is the ZMF Atrium or Auteur Classic a step up from a Focal Clear Mg?
Living in Kansas City, we just don't have big shows, and zero headphone stores I've been able to find. Basically every headphone I've ever bought has a been a blind buy. I compensate by rigorously researching every purchase. Unfortunately, that doesn't always pan out. lol- PinkyPowers

Arya Stealth vs HE1000 Stealth?
I haven't heard Arya, but the HE1000 Stealth is the best sounding headphone I've ever heard. If you have a warmer amp, the pairing can be freakishly good.- PinkyPowers

Transparent or Warm amps?
It's definitely all about the pairing. No hard fast universal rules. My favorite headphones right now are the HiFiMAN HE1000 Stealth. But the treble can get out of hand on the wrong source gear. But when paired with a warmer amp, the HEK maintains all it's incredible detail, resolution, and...- PinkyPowers

ZMF Atrium - new open-back co-flagship
I've never weighed a headphone before, and I don't plan on starting now. :L3000: As for how it feels on my head, it feels substantial, but not cumbersome. Then again, I'm fine with Audeze headphones, so I'm used to HEAVY cans. I've worn Atrium for multiple hours in a row and never felt fatigued...- PinkyPowers
