Fostex TH900 Impressions & Discussion Thread
strange, have u tried to mail with their customer service? i think he really wants the stockiest of stock pads, no lambskin remakes or anything. but due to lawton being a TH900 tuning shop, you might ask them, if they have some original pads in town :)- sameh931

Introducing the xDuoo TA-20 Plus - Now Available on Apos Audio
Thought about getting this AMP or a Cayin HA-2A, but i think I'll go for the TA-20 Plus due to it's price to performance and the availability of 12au7 tubes to roll :) the only thing i'm not sure of is the possible replacement of its 5z4p rectifier tube, hardly find any on Europe/German market...- sameh931

sounds like i should somehow get my hands on both units as a loan/tester to a/b them, but that's kinda difficult here in germany. but still the TA-20 Plus looks like an insane value for money, but if i sell my pair of TH900's when the Atrium arrives, the HA-2A would be affordable.- sameh931

Having a Atrium Open from the last drop on it's way too me, I think about adding a tube amp to the DAC of my Fiio K9 AKM, due to dimensions I consider either the TA20plus or Cayin HA-A2 (as the full ham option). But you mentioning the good pairing of the Atrium closed (and ZMF in general) might...- sameh931

Fostex TH900 Impressions & Discussion Thread
found my new favourite pads for the TH900's (mk2, red), the ZMF Auteur Hybrid :) but still need to A/B them with/without some attenuation rings. without them the bass and mids are so good for me, but sibilants are bit too present in some recordings.- sameh931

What are your impressions of the differences between Auteur Lambskin and Universe Lambskin? Ordered mine with Universe and Caldera U.P.. Thinking about taking Auteur as a 3rd option- sameh931

Cayin HA-2A, Compact Tube Headphone Amplifier
About it's measurements, I have very limited space on my desk and with it's 215mm depth it would barely fit if I use angled XLR cables. Are the 215mm measured with or without the Volume Knob?- sameh931

Can't wait to listen to Suzume when my pair of Atrium arrives, it's currently one of a few tracks in my playlist that gives me slight goosebumps listening to :) sadly wasn't able to listen to my own playlist inside the booth where i tested Atrium and Caldera at HighEnd.- sameh931

All things ZMF!
From what i've read and heard is, that those set screws have some screw lock on them. So tightening or loosening them too much/often might wear out the lock. You may tighten them again properly by attaching some new screwlock "paste". But i'd rather contact ZMF Support directly about it.- sameh931

Definetely not alone in this xD i did follow some drops and different wood variations for about 3 years now, since i've made my first step into ZMF by getting some pads for my TH900's back in 2021. Zach was so kind to e-mail with and also the Headphones great aesthetics and reputation made me...- sameh931

All things ZMF!
went for Caldera Ultra Perf as my 2nd Pad due to his detailed pad thread :) only listened to Atrium on their Stock Pads via Feliks Envy so far at HighEnd MUC. Eager too see/hear what the Caldera Pads do to the Atriums, especially in a few months on tubes! I plan to either go for the xDuoo TA-20...- sameh931

Being from Germany makes it nearly impossible to buy a pair at shows, but I got to keep my eyes wide open for the drops 👀 Good thing is, if i don't catch a stabilized one, there is always a beautiful wood available :D (If something like that Shou Sugi Ban Ash like on the Caldera Closed would...- sameh931

How difficult is it to buy a pair of stabilized resin's? I've been laying eyes on the LTD Zebrawood's a while now, but some of those wood and resin mixed ZMFs are outstanding beautiful. But is it even possible to buy them in the online shop if there is a current run or only at conventions due...- sameh931

ZMF Atrium - new open-back co-flagship
about the b-stock discussion, I would go for a-stock aswell if it has a cracked line like that. I wouldn't be afraid of it breaking after some time, cause stabilized wood is pretty durable stuff from my knowings, but for me at that price point I'll rather have something with 0 flaws instead of a...- sameh931
