Sorry didn’t bother to look up the price but what price range are we talking about? Do you need wireless and noise canceling as well? Are you listening on the move, in a quiet place, or in a crowded place most of the time?

The driver no long uses gold but silver. While that lowers the power requirement for amplifiers, we don’t know if it will still retain the characteristics that made OG Susvara great. Will HiFiman allow the Unveil to be tested against other amps at the next CanJam?

I’ll reserve judgement till it gets tested against other amps. We don’t know how the Unveiled will scale on other chains. One of the awesome part of the Og Susvara is being able to scale up and sound amazing with different high end chains.

No that doesn’t mean it’s unbalanced. The single ring means it only carry audio signal. 2 rings means it can carry microphone signal. 3 ring is more for gaming headphones and so on.

Have you or anyone here tried all Sophia tubes for their Aegis tube setup? Considering how they are all blue, that’ll at least give you a nice blue light at in the dark.

I’m a bit confused on the 274B tube requirement on this Aegis. So it only takes 274B that’s higher than 22uF, according to ZMF tube goggle doc? I see on here people using other brands besides the Sophia Aqua II. Do we have a list of working and safe 274B?

The price they are quoting rarely goes up for sale. You’d be lucky to find it at 14K, let alone 11K.

With everyone trying different brands and tubes, can someone make a running list of recommended brand for each of those tubes or suggest a combination? Ideally all in one post so we can just look at it. Otherwise this tube rolling will never end and the tubes will cost more than the Amp.

That’s great. Keep us posted on how it goes and how it compares to other tube amps. I’m hesitant on getting the Aegis vs a 300B type amp. I’d figure if I go tube amp, I should go as close to the top as possible instead of slowly upgrading.

Jot 2 will power anything. It’s actually more powerful and resolving than its price range. You just need a good enough DAC to make it shine. It will keep scaling up even with high end DAC.

I have the Yggy as well and Susvara. They do really well. Very detailed with strong mids.
