You better get used to the sound with stock tubes, while burning in you can read the thread from the beginning. No one can recommend you other tubes until you realised what you want.

Totally agree with you about the importance of clean power for hi-fi. Thank you for reminding me about Puritan. After brief reading I have ordered the PSM156. Costly, but I have no idea what else to improve (for reasonable money). Will see if it can solve some minor issues with my tube amps...

Well, this noise meter seems to be very useful thing :) IMO power conditioner isn’t mandatory unless your mains is problematic (noise, unstable voltage, DC offset). Since you are okay with your SS gear, probably it would be the same with the HA-3A (tube gear is more sensitive to EMI though).

I have to mention that powering the audio gear from different outlets may cause ground loops. HA-3A isn’t that power hungry to be necessarily fed from dedicated outlet. Anyway you definitely should try this amp. Even with stock tubes it will be a real step up for you (just the way it was for me).

Just got the inexpensive Gustard 1,6A fuse (ceramic, sand filled), but haven’t inserted it yet (rarely listen to headphones). Stock fuse is 1,0A, but the difference isn’t that big. I’m using these fuses in the rest of my gear (3,15 and 0,63A) and feeling no need for upgrade so far.

I’ve been using Acme300b for half a year and Acme274b for two months in my speaker amp. Quite happy.

You could try some DDC between your PC and DAC. I2S is the best.

As far as I know the headphone amplifiers built in budget tube speaker amps are usually just SS small circuits. MT-45 internals look different though, but dedicated SE headphone amp seems to be superior for sure.

Actually no matter what do you listen to, speakers or headphones, the good DAC is essential. I’m using my DAC with the speaker amp via RCA, and the headphone amp via XLR. Enjoying them both.

Given the lack of information about Lampizator it’s really hard to answer. As both pieces allow tube rolling, you probably can eventually find the result you want. Too many variables in this equation.
