Holo Audio Red Streamer
My Red stays powered on 24/7 without any heat issues whatsoever - it's lukewarm to the touch and is fully exposed sitting on top of my Spring3 KTE.- joseph69

The difference between the HiFiMAN 'Serenity Pads' and 'Ultra Pads' is the former do not come with the mesh - whereas the latter do come with the mesh.- joseph69

The GS-Xmk2 is the only SS amp I have the most experience with after owning it from ~2018 - and to be quite honest I think it depends on your headphones and the entire synergy of your entire chain - because both my SS and tube amps do not suffer in the speed department in my chain with my...- joseph69

Yes - I read about your issue @DeeT79 and having sent it toyour AD to swap out the transformers. But as I mentioned - just a few users experience hum and it's mostly due to the tubes. Also - I've owned OTC amplifier in the past which had hum, and I'm definitely not a fan.- joseph69

Feliks Audio ENVY
I only mentioned audible headphone hum due to some reporting slight hum on the thread on Lo gain setting. EDIT: As well as hum due to tube issues and socket savers - so I am thankful I do not have any of these issues being this was a concern of mine because I've experienced these issues in the...- joseph69

You're right - your Envy seems to be much lighter than mine and looks as if it can pass for oak in both photos - but then again, your desktop looks consistently dark in the first photo - and in the second photo looks darker on the left and lighter on the right. Has to be the effect of the...- joseph69

Mine is a nice deep brown - but I don't see any red in it. The (Sapele) Sapeli Envy wood finish below is lighter with red coloring in it.- joseph69

Feliks Audio ENVY
Received my Envy Performance Edition this evening and am enjoying it very much paired with my HE1000SE for the past few hours. I'm very pleased to report that there is absolutely no ambient or audible headphone humming (on Lo gain - haven't tried Med-Hi) whatsoever. I would like to thank...- joseph69

Holo Audio May DAC Speculation
I see. While I have the Spring3 KTE I find the top (metal casing) to run slightly warm - but I've never felt the side panels. With that said, copper is one of the most dissipating metals, so it would make sense for the sides to be warmer than the rest of the metal casing.- joseph69
