Vintage OG and Present Day TOTL Impressions

Random Immanis thoughts I had since aquisition. The pads are super comfortable. Some might complain that they are too soft, but I love the comfyness they provide. The sound doesn't really depend on the seal. Which makes Immanis an excellent choice for people with glasses or a magnificent...

I love the Immanis more with each passing day. Imagine an estat with amazing subbass, that's basically the Immanis.

    T+A Solitaire P planar magnetostatic

Amazing sounding headphones for sure. Besting even Susvara sonically. Unfortunately they can be uncomfortable and create a Hotspot in the middle of the head, if you have a small head

You could aim for a speaker amp with 2 zones. The T+A one I mentioned would have that for instance. Of course there are also cheaper ones but you mentioned, that you want to go end-game in all aspects. As long as the speaker amp has no issue driving a 32 Ohm load, one interface is sufficient. I...

As Roasty mentioned the Armageddon comes to mind if you don't want to go tubes. However I'd still throw the Riviera in the Ring. It has one tube that basically never dies and also isn't external. Or go the speakeramp Route. T+A PA 3100 HV or something in that League.

    HiFiMan Susvara

Quality of the amplifier with all headphones. I don't think in that list Was a single one not powerful enough for Susvara Headphone amp synergy is a matter of taste. Some want to pair a detailed and clear headphone like Susvara with a warm amp that fills in some more body, others want to...

    Audio Grade Fuses

It basically saves the wiring in your house from starting to burn, but that's about it. At least to my understanding. You should have a ground fault circuit interrupter in your home which should trigger first anyways. (I'm not sure which countries use those, but Germany does) How often did a...

    Audio Grade Fuses

If the fuse in your fusebox is not more lenient than the Device connected would require, it does offer protection. I.e. if the Device requires 1.6A slow blow and you're fusebox has 1.6A slow blow your're save. As for going up a size, ALWAYS discuss this with the manufacturer of your Device...

At a later date. Currently I'm evaluating power cables with Amp, DAC etc. They are on loan, but essentially it's power cable rolling 😎

RAAL 1995 headphones, Magna and Immanis

The Immanis is so unique in its sound signature. I'm still wrapping my head around it. Dynamics, speed and detail are in a class of its own. Bass is super unique. It has noteably more subbass than midbass. When coming from the Elite or Pulsar the midbass feels weaker. However when subbass is...

Oddities in the treble basically also says nothing without explanation. It's the same as colored treble. There is nothing wrong with being sensitive or having particular tastes though. Personally I don't follow any youtube reviewer so I wouldn't know if this is a recurring term he uses...

RAAL 1995 headphones, Magna and Immanis

How would he know though without applying EQ first? He could guess, but wouldn't that be even worse than saying nothing at all about it? I would have prefered an explanation, especially since "colored treble" isn't a common term in audiophile lingo. Bright treble is something people know what...

In that Region I know 3 DACs with good Reputation. - Rockna Wavelight - very energetic and impactful - Holo May - warmer, smoother, more "analog" - T+A DAC 200 - very refined, detailed and stunning with DSD input (i.e. hqplayer source)

Totally disagree. Envy easily bests the Vivas and Woo Wa23 Luna (never heard the 33) For me personally AIC-10 is the same level as Envy but a different taste

How could he, it's not like he had a chance to apply EQ, especially not in those 10 minutes of audition. I certainly expect him to mention it in some form in a review, but from the show I don't see how he could have said anything meaningful in regards to EQ In most countries/cities the only...

Cayin HA-300MK2 (2022) TOTL Transformer coupled Direct Heated Triode Tube HeadAmp (Page 91)

If the muddy sound is that bad, it's a damaged headphone. The amp can't be unlistenable muddy with one headphone and totally fine with another. (That's a thing for OTLs with high output impedance, but not in transformer coupled designs)

Wandla GSE only shines due to the spatial enhancement and impact+ features. Regular Wandla isn't bad, but a little thin compared to a Holo Spring for instance. Did you try the GSE or regular Wandla?
