I RMA'd mine for same thing (see my post further up this thread) just received replacement this morning which are fine - where are you located btw ? I used a headband cushion thing from Amazon and a two thin layers of foam achieve the perfect fit as also couldn't accept having the headband in...

What's the problem with them being a little thicker ?

I cant see either ( i would have to have one in front of me and a magnifier even) but it would be done early in the process as a sub assembly and probably painted over later down the manufacture process.

@Audeze I would never use glue in such an Application ! - surely its spot welded ?

I don’t have a case that’s me taking a picture at unboxing, they were like that on arrival. I think it’s just very poor QA by whoever Audeze has paid to manufacture these.

@Audeze , @Mad Lust Envy So are we saying to make Adjustments to Maxwell-X on IOS App you have to disconnect the Dongle first. , i.e. adjustments cant be done on the fly ???
