USA-reserved units are sold out for 2024. The German distributor does have it on stock. So it depends from where you order. It took 3 weeks for me (German distributor).

I seem to remember that looking at ASR’s measurements the AB1266 ended up at looking as a disaster. While not everyone loves it, I think very few will deny it’s one of the big players around.

Did you try it with the Zähl as well?

It does look quite ugly and even cheaper than the old one indeed, but sound is what counts after all. Still, with the Immanis coming to me in about a week I'm gonna stop shelling out money for a while, as good as this may prove to be.

The naming itself seems to imply Hifiman itself considers this to be just an incremental update, otherwise they would have opted for a brand new name. Still, it will be interesting to get comparisons with the Immanis.

Just noticed a new review on musicalhead.de. I think there's no english version yet. But the Immanis got 1st in his top ranking, surpassing the Susvara after 7 years. Soundwise it scores max points, only tiny reserves are on some build choices.

Specs are fitting the official requirements perfectly. It reportedly drives the Susvara perfectly, thus it should have no problem with the Immanis. I have an Immanis on order and I'm going to use it with an HM1. Edit: one user got his Immanis and tested it with the HM1, all seems to be fine...

Simorag told me it’s a quite leaky headphone, more so than the AB1266 (which is quite leaky).

Alright, here's the answer The comparator for the switch-off on channel A was faulty and produced a wrong logic signal. Very clear fault, so easy to find and repair. All connectors were fine. A very rare mistake. Was something else then. :)

I asked, I was told that Michael is going to contact me directly to tell me what it was. They received it last Monday and they shipped it back the day after, thus that must not have been something overly complicated.

My HM1 is back to home. Didn’t have time to listen to it yet but could verify that the relay is clicking again, thus all should be fine.
