For sale is my Little Dot Mk6+ in very good functioning order. There is only a big scratch on the knob (see pictures), nothing else. Obviously, the scratch doesn't affect the sound... and the price reflects the scratch. I bought it from the previous owner on Head-Fi. It was on my desk...- Petyot

The Entry Level Stax Thread
I have the L700. I also have the SRM-006t and the SRM-252s. They both works very well with the L700 and yes, the SRM-252s can easily drive the L700. I am sure that a lot here are going to contradict what I will say but, in my opinion, there is almost no difference between the two amps. If you...- Petyot

L700 are easy to drive! SRM-252s is more than enough. I have a SRM-006t and a SRM-252s. Not much difference (if any...) between the two.- Petyot

k1000 owners club
Hi, I was an owner in 2011 (serial number in the 4xxx) but I decided to sell my K1000. I always had mixed feeling about letting that piece of history go... Anyway, a few days ago I was able to grab one again locally (again with a serial number in the 4xxx). The last time I had the k1000 I...- Petyot

The Stax SR-L500 and SR-L700 Impressions Thread
No worries. An entry that could also be an end point. I am seriously thinking of letting go the SRM-006t since the SRM-252s is (for my ears) almost as good for a fraction of the price...- Petyot

I answered this question 12 messages ago... Maybe you should use the search function a bit more  BTW, I should have said 98% of the SRM-006t's sound- Petyot

Sounds very good... I have the SRM252s and a SRM-006t with the L700. The SRM-252s offers (in my opinion) 95% of the SRM-006t's sound- Petyot

Y Splitter for XLR cable and sound quality
My system is : iMac --> M2tech Hiface --> TC Electronique BMC-2 The BMC-2 offers one balanced output. From that output, I want to feed 3 amps (without having to switch the cable manually each time) Stax SRM-006t (balanced) Little Dot MKVI+ (balanced) Parasound Zpre (SE) Most of the time, I...- Petyot

Y Splitter for XLR cable and sound quality
Thanks to everybody... I am not sure to understand the concept of "measure each amp" so I will try to find a line level switcher (if I can find what it is... :confounded:)- Petyot

The Stax Thread III
Unfortunately, I don't have the SRM-353x but I do have the L700 with a SRM-006t and a SRM-252s. I had a SR-007/SRM-717 until very recently (for 10 years) and the SR-207 (that came with the SRM-252s). I don't find the L700 to be bright! Not at all! I do love the sound of the L700 on both amp...- Petyot

My experience is almost limited to pro audio dac... Except for the Jotunheim with the DAC module that I had for a few weeks. In my opinion, the "BMC-2 + Jotunheim" combo was MUCH better than the Jotunheim with his internal Dac module! I also have a Presonus Central station in another system in...- Petyot

Yes, this is a cool little DAC. Not very expansive, a bit old, but still doing his job perfectly (for my hears...). I haven't compare it with more expansive DAC so I have no idea what I am missing (if anything...) but I do love the sound coming out of that combo. I have a few pro audio shops...- Petyot

Sennheiser HD700 vs. Stax SRS-3100 System
That is so condescending!! To the OP : don't believe such kind of bullsh... You will have a lot of fun with the SR-3100 if you decide to go that route (specifically if you are, like me, one of those vulgar, uncultivated, mentally deficient audiophile, who just care about listening at high...- Petyot
