checking on LCD 2/3 connector geometry
I don't have a stock LCD2/3 cable handy, and I wanted to check if the XLR connectors at the headphones are 3 pin or 4 pin? And what is the layout? Thanks, Mike- mike1127

type of digital cable used to connect transport to DAC
I'm mainly interested in what kind of cables you, personally, use, if you have a separate transport and DAC, so I can get a feeling for what is most common.- mike1127

type of digital cable used to connect transport to DAC
For those using a separate transport and DAC with their computer, and therefore the need to route a S/PDIF cable between them, I would like to know what kind you are using and what you feel is best? The types I'm thinking of are optical coaxial (RCA connectors) coaxial (XLR)...- mike1127

Official Los Angeles Regional Summer Meet - Saturday, July 20, 2013 Warner Center Marriott, Woodland Hills
I didn't register for this meet as a member of the trade, but recently there became a possibility that I could become a vendor for a headphone amp, a highly modified Bravo. Do members of the trade pay something to set up at the meet? Right now I have a table for my personal collection and I...- mike1127

Official Los Angeles Regional Summer Meet - Saturday, July 20, 2013 Warner Center Marriott, Woodland Hills
Quote: I'm going to be bringing a modified Bravo, a little $79 headphone amp that has enough power to drive even speakers. With mods it's a gem. The only problem is that I'll need some kind of convertor from AKG K1000 4-pin XLR to 1/4" TRS. Maybe someone has one, or I can work up one. ...- mike1127

People are really nice at these meets, for sure. If you like a system, post a writeup about it! I would also encourage people to listen to items that maybe aren't so popular or "hot."- mike1127

Official Los Angeles Regional Summer Meet - Saturday, July 20, 2013 Warner Center Marriott, Woodland Hills
I'm excited about the July 20 meet, but also, another LA meet before the end of the year would be fun. I am thinking about volunteering to organize something in the fall, maybe October or November. I've never done this before, so I don't know what I'm getting into, and I don't know who else...- mike1127

Interest Thread LA meet 2013 2 Day meet . "International Headphone Extravaganza" First Annual
You don't have to bring your gear, if you don't feel like schlepping it. But one advantage of headphone meets over speaker-system meets is that it's easy to carry headphones. It's nice. Mike- mike1127

San Diego Head-Fi Meet: Saturday, November 3rd, 2012
I don't think I can make it now. It's my fault for procrastinating too much on homework and I have a big project due in a week and I can't afford to lose a Saturday (I would spend more than three hours driving each way). If things are going really well with my project I might be able to make it...- mike1127

LCD-2 : anyone know what serials numbers have rev. 2 of the driver?
I ordered mine from headroom about mid-August, 2011. I've always thought they were on the dark side, but that seems to be true of all revisions and all headphones Audeze has made, judging by the FR plots. The Rev 2 is less dark than the Rev 1 by all accounts. Mike- mike1127
