Dunno where they got that list, but the majority aren't even audio tubes. I Googled a bunch, some are nixie tubes. The ILD3 are a CRT (still pretty cool - check em out: https://www.industrialalchemy.org/articleview.php?item=3095 Could probably make a kickass steampunk sculpture with em) But yah...- Mr Trev

@bcowen <or anybody else for that matter> You got a 6922 adapter? Kind of curious to see how those 6bz7 type tubes that shipped with the Vali2 work in the Vali3- Mr Trev

So I gotta ask… How exactly do you deal with these "rat's nest" contraptions without electrocuting yourself? I got bitten once by a ~300v capacitor. It was… interesting. Wouldn't want to do it again tho- Mr Trev

Speaking bout GE 5670… Any tips about identifying them? All the ink was rubbed off mine, but the etching is intact. Bout all I knew when I bought it was triple mica, square-getter Not familiar with those French 12AU7s - I think you're the first I've heard mention them- Mr Trev

I find this happens. Just a couple weeks ago I was using my GE5670 in the V2 and it was making a faint high pitched ringing type noise. Shut the amp off, yoinked and reinserted the tube. Been dead quiet ever since ¯\_(ツ)_/¯- Mr Trev

But if the Vali3 is like the V2, the distortion is what gives it a "tubey" sound. Therefore if you want it to sound more "tubey", use high gain.- Mr Trev

Yes to both. 6CG7… I'd reccy a Matsushita. 5760… Tesla 6CC42 Overall, I'd rate the 6CG7 as the best "no adapter required" choice for the Vali2- Mr Trev
