Campfire Chat - Official Campfire Audio 2024 Thread!
Can anyone share an EQ profile they have going for Bonneville? Treble has been a little aggressive for me lately, most likely due to my new source. Trying to smooth it out a little bit on the top end- Uncle00Jesse

It’s already been mentioned, but for me it’s definitely Bonneville. I heard pretty much all the TOTLs through both days at canjam and Bonneville was as good or better than all of them, Trifecta included. $900 or less used is absolutely silly for these.- Uncle00Jesse

A&K SE 300 Battery Life
I get anywhere from 7-10 hours depending on if I’m streaming or not. Keep in mind it’s a known thing that the battery drops very quickly from 100% to 80% but levels out after that- Uncle00Jesse

Astell&Kern Launches New R-2R DAP and IEMs at High End Munich 2023
Anyone else finding class AB better than A? For me it’s not genre specific, AB is wider and more organic, A is more focused but sharper and thinner in all cases which can lead to some sensitivity. Not complaining as I’m loving the player as it is, but wondering if anyone has found the same- Uncle00Jesse

I love that Unmumzaan. I’ve been trying with zero luck to find a left hand. Slumming it with the Sebenza in the meantime. What else do you have in your collection?- Uncle00Jesse

@JasonNYC would you mind asking the team if nugs.net can be added sometime in the near future? (It’s a very popular live music streaming service app). Thank you- Uncle00Jesse

I’m the opposite. I often dont hear the bass when there is consensus that it’s there, or better than another iem.- Uncle00Jesse

Can anyone compare Monachaa directly to Bonneville? That’s the one set I didn’t get to listen to at CanJam and it has me curious.- Uncle00Jesse

A huge advantage of in ear HRM that people often overlook is specific to weight training. No matter what watch or arm bad HRM you have, constant flexing of tendons and muscle restrict blood flow in certain spots, therefore giving you inaccurate readings. The Senns are perfect for the gym...- Uncle00Jesse

I think you bring up a good point in that when you’re playing around in the high-end, one needs to pay close attention to resale values. If you were to buy a full price trifecta and didn’t like them after the initial return window, you’re taking a massive $1000+ hit. I’ve seen them sitting for...- Uncle00Jesse

Simon & Garfunkel - America Simon & Garfunkel - A Poem on the Underground Wall These are both soft tracks that get very fast and Trifecta kind of shouts everything out at you and it doesn’t sound cohesive and even a bit tizzy and unpleasantly sibilant to my ears. Bonneville is a better match...- Uncle00Jesse

Totally agree with your assessment. I didn’t like Trifecta either, and I was so excited to try them after owning Bonneville for 3 months and loving every second. Had to reply with your mention of pre-fazor Audeze. To this day I’m still chasing that dragon from 2012. I had a loner pair of...- Uncle00Jesse

Agreed. Svanar are the ultimate gym headphones for me. The bass isn’t quite there, but man are they clear and detailed which cuts right through any background noise. I get in my own little world- Uncle00Jesse

FiR Audio E10 & E12 Tour
I’m interested! Loved my short listen with the e12 at canjam. US-Maryland. Would like to test out that kinetic bass with one of my favorite albums Age of Adz. Curious to see how they perform with live shows which are a huge part of my listening: Wilco Kicking Television Live in Chicago, Dave...- Uncle00Jesse

That’s interesting, I hear the Bonneville as one of most fatigue free listening experience I’ve had in the 14 or so years I’ve been into this. No hard edges on anything. A lot of folks think they’re bass-forward from everything written about them, but I don’t think that’s true. I hear them as...- Uncle00Jesse
