New Inear Prophile-8
Thanks, that helps. They're still not quite secure, at least on my right ear, but I think it's a problem with an irregular ear shape.- Pickaxe

New Inear Prophile-8
How are you supposed to put these in your ear? I've been using them for 2 months and while they sound extremely good, I have not found any way to put them in my ear such that they stay in place. The instruction manual is not descriptive. I would love if someone could do a step by step...- Pickaxe

New Inear Prophile-8
I'll be getting my PP8 soon. I have not tried them before buying (unfortunately). The wait is pretty hard. Now, I'm pretty confident that their sound signature will be what I'm looking for. The one thing that's worrying me right now is that, despite all the raving about how comfortable they...- Pickaxe

New Inear Prophile-8
I'm thinking of buying these, I've got a couple of questions: 1) When used from a "bad" source (laptop, smartphone, ...), how silent are the PP8? Is there audible hiss? The 32 Ohm makes me assume they are silent, or at least fairly quiet. 2) How hard is it to get a proper seal with these? 3)...- Pickaxe

Nice cable, one question though - in your experience, does the clear cable turn green (due to oxidation)?- Pickaxe

Warning: this is a very cheaply built IEM. while (carefully!) twisting an eartip in order to remove it, the entire nozzle broke clean off. Browsing this thread, I've noticed one other user reporting this problem, so it's not an isolated problem. Beware.- Pickaxe

lol, stop shilling and stop redefining well-defined terms. these headphones are v-shaped and bassy. there's nothing balanced about them. the bass is elevated and almost muddy, making so everything sounds dark and vocals distant.- Pickaxe

I know! I had serious problems with that and it drove me crazy. No, they're genuine. Female vocals are not spot on, they are distant. Among other things.- Pickaxe

After using these for a while, I have to say they're not great. They are rather v-shaped (lol, "balanced". what a joke) and dark sounding. I like them only after equalizing them, I think they suck for vocals. My EQ preset for them literally has a 5-6 db difference between the low end and the...- Pickaxe

Can anyone compare these to the Urbanfun? I got my Urbanfun today and while they're definitely very good, the bass on these supposedly "balanced" IEMs is quite elevated.- Pickaxe

Personally, I would never buy foams again. Yes you can finally get them for reasonable prices now because China doesn't care about Comply's patent monopoly. But they still end up splitting in half after as little as two days. That's completely unreasonable.- Pickaxe

What is the best >100$ Chinese IEM with a neutral sound signature? I wanted to get the Magaosi K3 Pro but the frequency response is rather v-shaped. I've had too much experience with v-shaped IEMs and headphones to know that I don't like them.- Pickaxe

Hey everyone, hope this isn't a strange question, but what is a good Chinese IEM that sounds like the Sennheiser HD600? And by that I mean rather flat, great detail especially in the mids and bass that isn't elevated?- Pickaxe

Philips Fidelio X2?!
I have an annoying problem with my almost-faultless X2, maybe someone can help - so I won't have to play the replacement lottery. the right cup does not seal perfectly. as a result 1) when I have the headphone on my head the right side feels noticeably loose. it's annoying and ruins...- Pickaxe

@turbo911 Damn, nice job. This was the exact pad discrepancy that I've been complaining about. I got the thicker pads (the ones you describe as Woox) and I dislike them quite a bit, comfort-wise. I was watching a lot of reviews and I could instantly see the pads I got don't look like the pads...- Pickaxe

Philips Fidelio X2?!
Thanks everyone who posted pictures of their earpads. I seem to have confirmed that my pads are considerably thinner. That is consistent with how it feels to wear them, since the pads barely compress when they sit on my head. The weight distribution is completely off thus the clamp is pretty...- Pickaxe
