    try a high shelf filter cutting down by say 10 dB and move the corner frequency around to see / hear what high frequencies you can actually hear being attenuated. It will be more obvious the lower the frequency goes.

    DSD is by its very nature impossible to EQ without PCM conversion. Heck, you can't even adjust its volume digitally.

    We would recommend cards of U3 spec or above and not cards of C10 spec or under in case of high speed demands (such as hi-res). Any reliable brand should be ok.

    If it's at 48kHz on reaching Convolution they *will* be applied Fixed Sample Rate had to be on top set to 48000 for Convolution with one of my filters to work. Regardless, it's a pretty personal thing.

For the first case, does USB in not appear as an option in the "Connected to USB for charging, Tap for more options" (or similar wording) dialog? for the second case, have you checked on your PC that out of the various possible output audio devices, the R6 III is actually selected for output?

    is your shanling an android device or not? An android device (such as both the pixel and the r5) usually acts as the host, unless unequivocally signalled to be the client. Not so with a non-android device, which may perhaps only ever act as the client.

    If you're having trouble in the sense that the wrong device becomes nominated as host, you may fix this by using a USB OTG adapter, and a regular USB A to C cable, instead of a direct C2C cable.
