Re****ed Question: T-amp's 2 channels into 1 tower speakers?
I'm thinking about taking a T amp I have laying around (Lepai or Topping) and wiring both channels into an old tower speaker. Should it work so that the speaker would play both channels correctly without causing damage/fire? If so, I'd like to put this combo somewhere in the house for...- Rainbow Randy

NuForce Icon DAC with Android/DSD support now release!
Nice. I wonder how this stacks up to the HDP. I like the price much better--I thought about getting a HDP, but I was wanting a more affordable price. Pretty cool, guys.- Rainbow Randy

Yo, K-Mart be stepping their game up! Imagine my surprise, browsing their electronics to find the classic Koss Porta Pro, their KSC-75 siblings, and even the JVC FX101 and their brother the FR201. Both were competitively priced with online sellers ($19.99 and $29.99, respectively). Is...- Rainbow Randy

Philips SHE3580 IEM review--how can something sound so good for $10???
Thank you, to the gentlemen who attempted to help me replace the rubber tip on my SHE3580. I tried putting them at an angle, I tried flicking it over while grabbing a small section, but eventually I just grabbed some larger tips that went on with a breeze. But I may eventually come back to the...- Rainbow Randy

Philips SHE3580 IEM review--how can something sound so good for $10???
I took the rubber tip off one side to clean it, and it's worse than a slicked pig to get back on there! I have given up twice now. Can anyone give advice on this simple matter. I feel like a mentally incompetent person.- Rainbow Randy

Why is the DC protection on my stereo amp coming on regularly?
I may have done a poor job of stripping the speaker wires and pulled out too many wire strands. Would that affect the voltage? It almost always happens when powering on the amp. -
Why is the DC protection on my stereo amp coming on regularly?
My 4 year-old Cambridge azur 540A has CAP5 protection circuitry that shuts off the amp when it detects high constant voltage. It kicked in maybe once or twice a year before, but in the past couple months it's been several times a week. I have to unplug the amp from the back every time...- Rainbow Randy

I'm getting distortion in the left channel at high volumes (95-100% on iPod Touch). It's on the loud side when it distorts, but I often like going that loud. I might try sending to JVC for a replacement.- Rainbow Randy

My second pair of FX40 (1 week old) has been distorting noticeably. Would cord yanking contribute to that, or is it more just shoddy Quality Control?- Rainbow Randy

You'd really call the fx101 more musical? I think its bass is often too much, while the fx40 has occasionally hot treble. Otherwise, the 40 is about perfect--musical, detailed, and balanced. The 40's bass is incredible! Better than the 101! You can have too much of a good thing.- Rainbow Randy

Hah. They just needed to be pushed in a touch more to get a seal. Interesting, though, that pulled back slightly their bass resembles the FX40's, which I prefer for most music. Push in for thunderous bass, pull out for tight, balanced bass? All the more versatile.- Rainbow Randy

After about 10 hours of burn-in, my FX101's bass went from massive to about that of my FX40, which is quite good and strong. But they shouldn't end up having the same amount of bass, should they?- Rainbow Randy
