i can vouch for the T1 gen2s out of the V281/V850 stack. very nice indeed.

what tweaks are needed?

i have a V281 amp, so hopefully that will power them sufficiently.

I was thinking the HE-6se V2. i dont need quantity over quality. but decent bass.

yep, agree here. if your doing FPS gaming, you dont really want the bass, muddying positional sound which is more important, especially competitive FPS gaming.. I really need to try these headphones.

Yes, i wont sell my T1 2nd gen either... they are too good.

Havent tried the HD800s for gaming, and its one headphone i want to try, ingame. i must admit the T1, gen2s, and recently the ZMF Verite Opens, are pretty nice for FPS gaming. such as in BFV. you couldnt go wrong with the HE1000se for gaming, not too bad either for music. : )

ive tried a bunch of headphone combos with my various amps/dac.. and mainly in BFV. the headphones that have stood out for me, are the T1 Gen2s... in game, just WOW. sold the T1 Gen3, kept the Gen2. it does have a balanced palladium cable though.

EDIT: Anti Cheat didnt last long in BFV, hackers are back, in force, code is cracked !!

Has anyone tried a Fostex TH900, Denon 7200, or a meze or ZMF headphone for gaming ? mainly FPS im currently using a T1 gen2. and its the best headphone so far, ive used for gaming.

not enough bass for me to consider them for gaming. they are pretty spot on tho, for everything else. at 4.5k here for the HE1000s, thats a lot of coin.

the Violectric DACs are excellent, i had an V800, and stepped up to the V850.... According to Fried, theres a considerable difference... then again the V800 is still a damn nice DAC. great performance from a compact unit.

Just on the subject of the V281s. is the remote control w/ 128 stage step relay worth it , ? 500 Euro.

still a PC gamer here too, but the current crop of video cards, and their cost.... ouch... max i could afford was a refurbished eVGA 3090TI, which was still expensive.

i havent gotten around to downloading that DLC, i think i may need to : ) been too busy in Battlefield V, with the recent patch to add the anti cheat, the games have been a lot better, enjoyable, and not getting a headshot through a wall is refreshing. lol

for me, i think his word is pretty good.. enough for me to scramble for a V850..... then again, if you have a V800 thats still a damn nice DAC. better than a lot of other DACs that cost a lot more than it.
