Anedio D2 DAC release
Quote: Thanks Project86. Initially I had my eyes on a pair of Denon AH-D7000 but they got sold before I could pull the trigger. Now there is a pair of LCD2R2 (new) up on canuck audiomart that I am considering. My only hesitation is comfort, they are big and heavy and that worries me a...- Riker

Digital Cable from source to Anedio D2 DAC
Hi, I have an Anedio D2 DAC (love it BTW) and my digital source is the Sonos ZP80. Currently I have an analog RCA interconnect between the Sonos and the D2 (BlueJeans Cable Belden). My D2 DAC is connected to my AV Processor by Kimber Hero XLR, and from the AV Process to my Amplifier...- Riker

Anedio D2 DAC release
Thanks Project86. I think this will be a good match. What am I looking for ? well perfection of course LOL ! Seriously, as I mentionned on another thread, my Primary goal is comfort followed very closely by sound quality. I tend to like low end energy, good mids and detailed highs, but not...- Riker

Anedio D2 DAC release
Anyone here ever tried the Denon AH-D7000 headphone with the Anedio D2 DAC ? I have the D2 (love it !) and considering purchasing a pair of D7000. Would that be a good match ? I think the D7000 are pretty amp friendly. Thanks Riker- Riker

Quote: Interesting, for me, I found the Denon AH-D2000 to be more comfortable than the Beyer T1. The T1 had to much clamping force, especially on my jaw bones. I have not tried the D7K or the HD800. If the D7K is the same or better than D2K, I would be fine with that level of comfort.- Riker

Definitively not a green horn in audio :-) but headphone wise I've only very recently started looking into that so in that regards, you could say yes a am a bit of a newb :-) So far in all that I have auditionned, the best "sounding" can was the Beyer T1. Having said that, they were not...- Riker

Hi Agent I do some studio recording / engineering / mastering on the side, have been playing bass for 30 years and generally have a good ear and very decent 2 channel / HT gear. I am into listening to high quality sources and music and looking for a very comfortable headphone that has...- Riker

The more I read, the more I don't know where to turn. So, now I am considering LCD2 rev 2 because of their excellent bass extension and overall great sound. And from what I read they are comfortable even if they are heavy. My Anedio D2 should be able to drive those. Still on my very...- Riker

Quote: Yes that is essentially what decay is. Reverb depth and time. For instance, on one of my demo song (I am I from Queensryche - Promise Land album) the snare drum has a deeper, longer and clearer sound on the T1s than on the D2K. I can hear and feel the depth of the sound after the...- Riker

Quote: Hi Eddy, Do you find that the D7000 has more detail retrieval ? When listening to the T1 I could hear longer decays, more minute details in the recording that are not there with the D2000. I don't expect the D7K to have the same resolving power of the T1 but I do hope it's...- Riker

Anedio D2 DAC release
Sorry if this has been asked before. Would the following headphones " shine" with my D2 ? - Beyerdynamics T1 - Sennheiser HD800 I have heard the T1s and they sounded great on an AudioLab MDAC + CD player. My first priority is comfort followed by sound quality. I have read...- Riker

Quote: Well, as long as the treble does not pose an issue with sibilance for me as Eddy pointed out a few post ago. I am still going to try to audition them if I can, the D7000 that is.. Maybe a D8000 is only a few months away ? ? I like the T1 quite a bit, the sound is very good...- Riker

Yes I really liked the T1 as well and is the front runner at the moment. I really want to try a pair of Denon AH-D7000 as they seemed to have the sound signature I like and apparently are very comfortable as noted previously (Thanks Eddy) Riker- Riker

Quote: Hi Eddy, Good to know, I'll do my best to audition a pair of D7000. The local reseller was telling that Denon is currently doing a refresh of their headphones and new models will be available in the near future. Not sure what that means exactly, time will tell. Today I...- Riker

I was not looking for sibilance, it just showed up on songs that I know very well and never heard that before. I think my gear is pretty decent: Main system: Sonos - Anedio D2 dac / head amp - Anthem MC20 amplifier - Acoustic Zen Addagio speakers. Cabled with Kimber Hero balanced...- Riker

So according to that graph, the momentums have the least amount of treble energy.. therefore, if I found them to be sibilant, then the others will be even more so ? Now I am really discouraged LOL- Riker
