Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
It’s a ODM development kit. Just like a development PS5 you pay more for features that are relevant for development and not necessarily regular consumer use.- stacey

We only have a limited capacity to listen to earphones and if you’re constantly trying new stuff I could see why some sets don’t get much use.- stacey

Honestly the only time I really use IEMs is in a cafe/airplane/desk where I can really sit down and enjoy them. I see it as a safety issue to use headphones in public like that ( traffic, walking, hiking, etc). Besides why not enjoy the area?- stacey

Here’s the problem with that mindset…what’s the value of a dollar? What’s your value of a dollar? Also someone may value those technicalities and shortcomings more than others. So there’s more gained by keeping it neutral and simply highlighting the differences in comparisons.- stacey

I agree with you, at this point, I’m trying new things but purely from an enthusiast/audiophile perspective, and not because I’m looking for an upgrade from what I have. I feel that we’re at the point that the stuff currently in the market will satisfy all but the most critical of people.- stacey

What were your mistakes you made buying your first or buying any IEM?
If you’re thinking about Chi-fi for warranty it’s far easier to just buy a new one. You’ll likely have to send it back to the manufacturer…at your own expense which can be as much as what the IEM is worth.- stacey

Overextended budget and Buying into the hype/namebrand. I did that with my old IE8i way back when I was in college. At the time, since I attended a show, I was able to get it for half off retail. It’s not a bad set in itself but it didn’t exactly line up with what I value when I listen and it...- stacey

I like Zepp. They have a lot there , (especially cables!) and you can enjoy some coffee while you’re there. The mall it’s located in has several electronics stores if you need stuff serviced. Also Zepp is on the 3rd floor IIRC.- stacey

Interesting machine from Luxury n Precision
Chinese Semiconductors ->USA = 100% tariffs in 2025. US Semiconductor to China…pretty sure that’s straight up restricted to what generation they can use. Either way L&P will have issues with sourcing chips. And the tariffs could make this an extremely expensive product in the US.- stacey

Pretty sure the moondrop cover art would trigger the algorithm to suggest that. As you know the Moondrop thread is one of the most active on here. Also it’s not hentai. It’s a gacha game with racy images , just like Moondrop box work.- stacey

I’ll have to say, after sampling the E7 oven in Singapore last month, the Bluetooth implementation works very very well. IIRC it even displays the album/song metadata too. If there’s a loss in SQ it’s very minimal. However I’d use USB just for the fact that a lot of streaming services limit the...- stacey

I’d look into the new Eletech tips. Right now it’s for the AirPods Pro, but there’s supposed to be a TWS based version coming out soon too. It was previewed in Singapore.- stacey
