i actually did some more fit tests last night, feeling better overall about the fit. i need to just accept that my life is easier when i don't use a long nozzle IEM though... Will need to consider customs in the future i think.

really wish Penon cables had a full recessed version. I tried the OCC849 on my Szalayi, and its just not long enough for me to be confident in the fit. had one fall off a couple times... Penon, please. Lots of recessed IEMs out there.

I find my overall mood/health/tiredness plays a huge part in this. I can no longer be critical of IEMs and gear when I have had a not so great day and sometimes things just don't hit right like you expect regardless. Perfectly normal, I think!

I haven’t heard the others sources you mentioned to do a more direct comparison, but I do love the DC-Elite dearly. I had the sense of wonder all over again plugging in the CB19 cable last night, the sound quality for the plug and play nature of it is second to none to anything I have tried...
