Stax SR-X9000
I concur. I listened to x9000 a couple of times and I didn't feel it a big upgrade to the sr009S for my fav genre of music. Perhaps more spacious and less upfront sounding .- Gradostax fan

Sennheiser HD 660S2 thread
I bought a demo set for usd330. The store owner assured me that this headphone was rarely used so it was almost as good as new. I also enjoy 660s2 a lot , it offers a different but equally enjoyable sound from my Grados and staxs. I even bought a replacement cable from ebay, please see the...- Gradostax fan

I finally decided to ditch my 507 after 4 yrs plus of owership due to one reason . It consumes batt considerably even when it's off . Switched to a shanling m3 ultra , sound wise on par but better batt life.- Gradostax fan

Underpriced? When 660s2 just released, many panned it to be overpriced as 6xx was much cheaper but slightly lower sq .- Gradostax fan

Rs2x is not thin and harsh at all on my setup . If I were to describe the sound it would be smooth, detailed , neutral ,good mids (but less warm than rs1x). I feel it's the grado that sound most monitor like if that makes sense.- Gradostax fan

When i just joined headfi , around late 2004 ( under different profile) , this amp was badly trashed by many for having cheap parts. Only a handful like zanith (if i remember correctly) praised it for being a good match with grado. Now I want to get one just for collecting as it's getting rare...- Gradostax fan

Yeah i'd love to see a comparison between the two. Sr007 can't do well with STAX amps , i remember the disappointment i had when pairing it with SRM 727 many years back. That's part of the reason why i moved to SR009S.- Gradostax fan

Never heard the ps2000e before so i can't comment . RS1X is a great headphone to me ,especially for its mid range! it just feels more forward sounding than RS2X- Gradostax fan

Gh2 is kinda the holy grail based on what I read but never listened to it before. As for rs1x vs rs2x , Rs1x : warmer , more forward Rs2x : relatively leaner but less forward , punchier bass Rs1x has a more colourful sound but the forwardness may cause fatigue in some tracks ,above certain...- Gradostax fan

Share a story of mine regarding my grado HP experience. About19yrs ago I bought my 1st grado the sr225 at a local retail store.
