Focal For Bentley Radiance Headphones
What cable are you using there? In terms of mobile set up, I find they sound real nice with a quality copper cable through my Cayin RU7- yrstruly

ZMF Atrium Closed
Hi all - still have yet to hear these and am a long-time owner of the VC. For those who are familiar with both, would you say the VC is more detailed? Consensus seems to be the VC is faster but I'm curious purely about detail retrieval here - is there a gap and if so, roughly how big? Thanks!- yrstruly

best closed back at every price point from 100-3000+ what would it be?
https://www.head-fi.org/threads/the-closed-back-headphone-thread-plus-comparisons-reviews.939901/ Check the first post, although would need updating to capture the E3, Bokeh, Atrium Closed, Caldera Closed and Liric 2.- yrstruly

ZMF Verite Closed-New Closed Back ZMF Flagship.
I take this back btw...after upgrading my RCA interconnects the sound with the Verite Silver is killer now. My VC feels like a proper detail monster on this set up, and the dynamics, soundstage depth and layering are frankly astonishing.- yrstruly

Nope Nutopia has wider soundstage than OG. OG possibly has a bit more soundstage depth though- yrstruly

Might be worth you trying the Elegia too? Can be had for good prices (definitely not one to blind buy though as has a love-or-hate-it tuning).- yrstruly

I think upper mids are generally a bit contentious across the entire Focal line (especially with the Stellia). It's a trade off for the clarity and immediacy Focal are known for I suppose. That would be the sweet spot for sure. The Azurys would definitely be easy to use out and about (as far as...- yrstruly

Yeah fair enough. Fwiw, wasn't meaning to bash the Azurys. I think they have a lot going for them. It was just a slight quirk in the upper mids that I spotted which I had a sense might bother me over time. The bass response was quite nice - good detail and impact.- yrstruly

Ah well not in the UK at least - Celestee can be had for £600 here. So I would regard this as a similar price point. As I said, the opinions were relative. I mentioned the Liric 2 lacked wow factor for its price. Will be interesting to see how well the Azurys do. Looks like the Hadenys is...- yrstruly

Tried a few closed backs today - quick sonic impressions: Meze Liric 2: really liked these and would consider buying. Definitely more agreeable/less weird tonality than the Liric 1. Possibly a lack of "wow" factor at their price point but they also didn't seem to do anything wrong. Brilliant...- yrstruly

ZMF Verite Closed-New Closed Back ZMF Flagship.
So I received a Verite Silver cable for these and think I might prefer the 2K Copper and maybe even the OFC cable, sonically, on my set up. I perceive improved dynamics and staging however something in the tonality and/or timbre has been thrown ever so slightly off kilter. Interesting! Time to...- yrstruly
