Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
It has been a while since I wore earphones costing less than $1000. Overall I'm satisfied with the sound quality for the price paid. Being dynamic drivers you would expect a nice strong meaty bass, however they are surprisingly well controlled. Theres an emphasis on the midrange, treble takes a...- blazer78

Three Brand New Earphones: Sony IER-Z1R, IER-M9 and IER-M7
Made a blind purchase on the IER-M9's. These have definitely exceeded my expectations. Tonality is on point and everything sounds quite refined, detailed and composed even at loud volumes. Cable is fantastic, flexible and kink-free as well.- blazer78

Audio Technica ATH-CKR7TW vs Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless?
Having compared both the CKR7TW and Sennheiser MTW's, I can probably say that the MTW's are superior at this stage. The CKR7TW sounds bright, but the sound signature grows on you with time (kind of like the IM04). Theres a nice tonality to the midrange and hence vocals sound quite sweet on...- blazer78

Westone W60 Teardown with Photos of 6 BA drivers
Very interesting photos. I dropped my W60's on hard pavement today too. Unfortunately they are still working fine, because I wanted an excuse to buy the IER-M9's - blazer78

Chord Electronics ☆ Poly ☆ (wireless & microSD module for Mojo) ☆★►USEFUL INFO on 1st PAGE!!◄★☆
I’m a little confused, does airplay for ios devices work without the need for both devices to connect to a common wifi network? I just want to stream stuff from my idevices via airplay to the poly connected to my stereo. Using stock ios music app.- blazer78

Do the Sony MDR-EX650AP's need a long burn-in period?
Best to just leave them in storage like I did, and move on . I too found them far too harsh to listen to with overcooked bass.- blazer78

Sony WI-1000X Brief Review
How I would like them to be of course (i.e., perfect). I own the 1000XM2, but have never taken them out of my house (joke of the century, I know!) You get an appreciation of the noise cancelling effects, when you wear them on public transport and just leave ANC on without any music...- blazer78

Sony WI-1000X Brief Review
Thought I might chime in on this having owned these for a couple of months. The noise cancelling only works well for linear engine noises. Sitting at the back of a bus where the engine makes whirring noises (non-linear), the ANC struggles to adapt (max setting, optimised). It throws out...- blazer78

Sennheiser IE800 IEM's
Pretty excited for the IE800S (I'm sold already lol), though I was expecting the detachable cable design to be improved (detached at each of the earpieces instead of the Y-split).- blazer78

Chord Mojo(1) DAC-amp ☆★►FAQ in 3rd post!◄★☆
Yes, I've read the section regarding charging noise. The Apple 1 amp charger is supposed to be low in noise/virtually "silent", not in my case however. The noise completely stops when the Mojo is powered on, still, the charging noise while it is off, is quite bothersome.- blazer78

Chord Mojo(1) DAC-amp ☆★►FAQ in 3rd post!◄★☆
Interesting, my Mojo's serial number is in the 29,xxx range and hisses/buzzes like theres no tomorrow when turned off and charging. Once turned on, it stops hissing, but there are many times that I leave it off and it becomes increasingly annoying (having to unplug the charging cable...- blazer78

Westone W60 Impressions Thread
Both will provide a warm sound with "good" bass, with the W50 being even warmer and thicker sounding compared to the W60. You will however, notice that the W50 sounds somewhat muddy in comparison to the W60, which provides a clearer sound overall with more accurate timbre in its treble...- blazer78
