The JPS Labs: Abyss AB-1266 Impressions Thread
I think there are a bunch that challenge the 1266, but nothing beats it. For me Fostex th-900 mk2, Denon 9200, Utopia 2022 come to mind. Stellia wasn’t for me.- Chronos

The JPS Labs: Abyss AB-1266 Impressions Thread
Every time I listen to the 1266 TC to see if I want to sell, it kicks my rear end and tells me to sit down  I don't know if any headphone rocks as hard as the 1266- Chronos

Been looking for something like this since I transitioned from IEMs to full size. I think there was another thread that attempted this. This one is already off to a great start- Chronos

Sennheiser HD800 S Impressions Thread (read first post for summary)
Agree, it comes really close to Susvara for a tiny fraction of the price and minimal amp requirements. It is quite amazing what Sennheiser has achieved.- Chronos

Summit-Fi Random Thoughts
Interesting since I’m debating on upgrading my WA33 to a WA33 EE or the AIC-10. How’s the Head space amp compare to the WA33 EE? I mostly listen with my Sus to metal, edm, hiphop.- Chronos

HiFiMan Susvara
Not exactly the same but I had the D8K Pro LE and its more sibilant leaning (still wouldn't call it sibilant) than the Susvara. I've also heard the Utopia 2022 which is slightly more sibilant leaning than Susvara. I experienced what I thought was sibilance when the Susvara was underpowered...- Chronos

You never answered, but the bands I listed earlier Underoath and Amongst the Giants another member on here listed as negative music are actually Christian bands. I'm not saying you need to listen to Christian music. The point is that you can listen to hardcore stuff that doesn't have a bad...- Chronos

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
What're your picks for top tier IEM's for running at the gym? What is your overall current top tier setup (including source/phone, any dongles, etc.) for running on the treadmill with loud gym music blasting in the background?- Chronos

HiFiMan Susvara
Funny thing is I just watched the ConvinceMeAudio's re-review of Susvara and he happens to mention how he considers the Mass Kobo 465, Amp&Sound Red October, on the warmer side vs. Zahl HM1, WA33, and AIC-10 as more reference sounding.- Chronos

HiFiMan Susvara
I've owned Bliss KTE and WA33 side-by-side and did A-B comparisons both with Spring 3 KTE and May KTE as the DAC's. I didn't say it doesn't sound great with the Susvara, I think it synergizes extremely well. I agree it drives the Susvara plenty well with great note weight. I also agree its...- Chronos

Bliss is not the way to go if you don’t want the smoothed out upper and lower sound. Zahl and WA33 offer more dynamics, more clarity, and you get the extension in both ends. The DAC is also really important for this. Not sure what @smodtactical is using but Holo DAC, Bliss, and Susvara are all...- Chronos
