    RAAL 1995 Immanis

Anticipating 3+ months, for mine, but hoping for less. Serbia is going on a 3-week holiday right now, as I understand, so that could very well also add to the lead time. Regardless, it’ll be worth the wait!

    RAAL 1995 Immanis

I agree, it’s really hard to put out of your mind! Each time I hear it, it is every bit just as good as the first time, if not better. 5-6 weeks is really no time at all. The lead time for us here in the US is longer than that.

    NEW HIFIMAN Susvara Unveiled!

I would am genuinely curious to hear all of them, the Susvara OG, the Immanis, and the Unveiled, all on the Narukami amp. I wonder on level playing fields how each of them would compare! I got lucky on the Unveiled just being in stock, so I ordered it immediately, but it was the last one. I...

    NEW HIFIMAN Susvara Unveiled!

Regarding the hype train, Unveiled isn’t getting it nearly as much because it’s an evolutionary product to an already top-tiered product. Hype for Immanis and Magna is justified because it’s revolutionizing the ribbon transducer finally making it an all-round contender in the top-tier. The...

    RAAL 1995 Immanis

I look forward to having a lot of time with it. However, just based off what little time I have had with it, it hasn’t been a problem. Also, based off all the other open backs and the volume I listen to music, it’s usually not a problem, however, quiet passages it becomes a little noticeable...

    RAAL 1995 Immanis

Aleksandar has said previously that the ribbons don’t require a seal, unlike all other traditional headphones to get the level of bass it has. Pretty incredible. Haha They are really open, which is fantastic (and possibly a drawback). In a quiet environment, though, it is phenomenal.

    RAAL 1995 Immanis

Yeah, the amount of time to wait for it is relatively small in comparison, for sure. I think the venting portion in the front section of the headphone, not only does it allow for sound pressure not to build up, but it allows for that natural airiness to come through. It helps with the sense of...

    RAAL 1995 Immanis

You, sir, are making it really hard to wait for mine. For me, I still stand by my statement of sharing strengths of different types of headphones — Speed and micro dynamics of an estat, macro dynamics of a dynamic driver, bass extension of a planar magnetic driver. Is it the absolute best in...

    RAAL 1995 Immanis

I would say it isn’t as tight as something like the WA33 or Feliks Envy, but certainly not bloomy or gooey sounding as something like the ZMF Aegis amp. It’s more tube sounding than Envy and WA33 by a little bit. Those lean a bit more towards a solid state sound than I prefer for tubes.

    RAAL 1995 Immanis

Interesting, in my experience recessed midrange is fixed by a proper tube amp, brings a bit more lush/magical quality out of the midrange. Your experience is just as valid, I just find the opposite to be true. So in that regard, that’s partly why I prefer the Immanis on tubes, like my WA23.

    RAAL 1995 Immanis

Aleksandar, you might be right. I may very well be an outlier, but I tend to listen a little bit louder than most and I prefer them on tubes, as I’ve just gauged on the 3 get-togethers that I’ve been to in the last month and a half. Higher volumes on SS tend to bring out a little bit edginess...

    NEW HIFIMAN Susvara Unveiled!

I did not find it laid back either. I think the midrange has a different presentation than the Unveiled that could be perceived as more aggressive or more forward. So I guess in comparison, the Immanis could feel polite compared to the Unveiled. Neither is super aggressive in midrange, the...

Comment by 'Aetherhole' on listing 'Warwick Acoustics Bravura + Sonoma'

Oh wow, that was fast. And I really don’t blame you after hearing the Immanis. Utterly fantastic headphone.

RAAL 1995 headphones, Magna and Immanis

They certainly are capable with less, I whole-heartedly agree. Having listened to them off a Luxman P702u mk2, that amp “just” goes for about $2500-3000 USD. Sadly only available really in Japan, but listening to the Immanis and Magna on that, I would have no problem recommending more...

RAAL 1995 headphones, Magna and Immanis

Thank you, Mark! I understand the sentiment! The amount of texture that I was hearing even with lots of sub-bass presence was extraordinary. It elicits authority and commanding presences without sacrificing detail and texture like no other headphone I’ve heard to date. Admitting fulll well...

RAAL 1995 headphones, Magna and Immanis

I know you already said that this was not a side by side comparison and to only take your comments with a grain of salt, but I will say that it is greatly appreciated nonetheless! I don’t know when/if I will get to hear the Egoista 2A3 with either of the RAALs, let alone in the same vicinity of...

RAAL 1995 headphones, Magna and Immanis

I want to hear how the Viva Egoista 2A3 compares to my WA23! Both use 2A3 tubes, I wonder how much similarity and differences there would be.

    RAAL 1995 Immanis

The Holo May with the WA23 is still my favorite pairing with the Immanis. There’s a euphoric midrange and you don’t lose much detail and incisiveness. It has a lot of character, body, and a holographic sound that really shines with the Immanis. It also has a lot of dynamics and you get a lot...

    NEW HIFIMAN Susvara Unveiled!

From my experience I had to have have them higher on the volume pot just a bit compared to the Susvara Unveiled on my amp.

And here’s a few pictures from our hangout yesterday. Not pictured is the Zahl, which is on the other side of the ZMF Aegis. Still always surprised how small the Zahl is in person.

Yep! You have to put your pre-order in for it, though. If you’re wanting to inquire, you need to contact Danny McKinney directly. You can go to the RAAL/Requisite for his number of email contact. He’s a great guy to talk to.

    RAAL 1995 Immanis

I have had the chance to listen to the Immanis for the 3rd time yesterday and I am just as impressed listening to them this time around. 1st time left a lasting impression and I could not stop thinking about them. 2nd time was in the comfort of my own home with a friend’s Immanis on my own...

    RAAL 1995 Immanis

I think you can’t go wrong with either the Immanis or the Unveiled and I think they are head-to-head on so many levels. When I A/B’ed them they were close in many regards. I said it before, but I think it’s going to come down to timbral differences on which one they prefer. Both are great...
