Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
So, I got Moondrop Evo around a week ago. I tried it for a couple days and I am pretty disappointed the longer I use it. The very very short battery life just kills it for me. I got around 2 hour 15 minute from full charge pairing it up with my BT-W5 and tangzu heyday using AptX adaptive codec...- voicemaster

Aful Performer Impressions Thread
If you are considering to get the P8, I would highly suggest you to save up a bit more and get the Pilgrim. I have the P8, Mest MK2, SA6 and Variation; the Pilgrim is overall better than those. P8 vs Pilgrim: similar sound tuning with more airy and open presentation on the Pilgrim. Detail is...- voicemaster

Aful Performer Impressions Thread
If you can save around $100 more than you can get the Elysian Pilgrim. The P8 and Pilgrim are similarly tuned, but the Pilgrim is like an upgrade of P8. Better clarity, detail, more airy and open sounding.- voicemaster

Divinus Velvet is my new favorite tips. Some IEMs like Dunu SA6 has some vacuum effect that can be uncomfortable. I've tried many different silicone tips (Azla, Moondrop, Eletech, etc) with my SA6 and all of them gave me vacuum effect until I tried the Velvet. No vacuum effect at all. I am now...- voicemaster

SBC and AAC too. I used to diss SBC, but ever since BT 5.2, the quality seems to improve a lot.- voicemaster

Just received the Divinus Velvet tips (M) and had a chance to briefly comparing it to the Eletech Baroque. I can immediately hear and feel the difference between the two tips. The Velvet is thicker in both inner and outer silicone, while the Eletech feels squishy. The Velvet immediately feels...- voicemaster

The MK2 can really add the immersion with the BCD and I can feel it vibrating in my ears. But, compared to the Elysian Pilgrim, the recessed vocal + added rumble from BCD actually make the vocal a bit hard to hear. In some rock songs or metal where all the instruments go ballistic, the vocal got...- voicemaster

Damn the Pilgrim completely destroyed my UM Mest MK2 in almost all aspects. Had a chance to compare the Pilgrim with my Aful P8. The P8 did much better than the MK2, actually both the Pilgrim and P8, tuning wise, sound pretty similar. The difference is the Pilgrim sounds more airy and open while...- voicemaster

Damn, you boosted the three lowest freq in the app. I tried it and it makes the bass muddy . The most I've added to the bass is the lowest freq on the EQ to +0.5 to 1db. I don't normally listen to bass heavy music tho.- voicemaster

I am not sure how they tuned the ZX1 with their crossover setting, but to me, the bass is much more like a Planar type of bass than DD.- voicemaster

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
At the end of the day, it is still a planar type of bass. It is fast, accurate and punchy but kind of lack of rumble compared to DD bass. Easily EQ able to reach DD kind of bass, but still it won't move much "air" like a DD can. The good thing from most TWS with an EQ in the app is that the EQ...- voicemaster

ZX1 PNK not having enough volume? I'd be deaf if I were to listen with max volume on my S24U and I am 41. It is true that on my S24U, the volume is not that high, but still loud enough at max volume. In my PC, pairing it up with BT-W5, the sound is much louder compared to my phone.- voicemaster
