It's worth remembering that beta releases are for the purposes of testing, and they may contain bugs, that are then highlighted to developers, who then fix the bugs, and finally release stable firmware versions. If one isn't happy being a tester, it's best to wait for a stable release to come...

I find UAPP suits me better than any other player I've tried. I've used it with DAPs and on my phone with various dongle DACs etc. It is well supported, with regular updates from the devs.

I don't have my R5 any more. I guess I was asking if there is an online resource of preset tunings for MSEB? I think it would be a great idea to add to the existing ones that MSEB finds instantly and automatically.

I don't recall there being downloadable preset tunings (Hot Monster, Digital, Ultra Hifi, Analog) in the MSEB when I had my R5 gen 1. Where are these located @Joe Bloggs as the R4 finds them online instantly. Are there plans to add more, as they're a good starting point for playing around...

Er..... I have had no issues figuring everything out with the R4. I've had an R3 and an R5, so I'm pretty au fait with the Hiby ecosystem. But I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to correctly attach the wretched strap! Edit - I've sorted it.

Mine has arrived too. Is it safe to open the box? Or, is there a possibility that as soon as the box is opened, my unit might superheat and go supernova, before collapsing in on itself, and becoming a black hole, which then sucks our entire solar system into it?

Meyer Audio CKLVX D41 is under $200 and well worth a shout. I have the 99 Noirs, the HD58X and Sundaras, but until my R4 arrives tomorrow, I won't be able to say what it's like for driving them.

I've had an R3 and an R5 in the past. I struggled with the R3's small screen, but the R5 was excellent, I loved it. Then I went down the phone + dongle route. I've used a Hiby FD3 as my daily portable for quite some time, and with no complaints. As well as a Hiby W3 Saber for bluetoothing. But...

One irritating thing.... During the preorder period, Hiby will chuck in a free strap, which is great. But it will be a randomised colour. So if I buy an orange R4, it might come with a green strap.... In that scenario, I'd be sorely tempted to send mine back for a refund. Why can't they...

I love the idea of this but living in the UK (and it's probably the same in the US and the other 5 eyes nations) there are potential issues with buying a communications device from a China based company. One simply cannot be certain about how international relations will pan out in the future...

Please be clear..... My comments regarding the Meze 99 Noirs and the Sundaras related to the Hiby FD3 and NOT the Hiby FD1. But I would think the FD1 would be ok with your Meze 109s. I'm sure you will love them.

I just checked. The Hiby FD1 is currently 42€ on Amazo.de. Not the Hiby FD3.

Are you sure that's the FD3 for 42€? Or the FD1?
