Hip Hop can be very different. So i think for some tracks, a nice planar with very low reaching sub bass is nice. Some tracks have punchy beats, so another headphone wirh punch is fine. I think many tracks can sound fatigueing quick, so i like a more forgiving headphone and hifi system for that...

I think the HD650 sounds darker and softer than the Clear OG. The Clear has a stronger bass than the HD650. Both have more emphasis on the mids and lower frequencies. The HD650 has a smooth and warm mid emphasis. I find the MG version even bassier than the OG Clear.

Yeah i think both headphones are good for gaming. Id choose the HD800 for gaming most of the time. The T1 for music. I would get a used HD800.

The Focal Clear OG is indeed nice for metal in my opinion. Punchy and clean sound with nice bass.

The HE1000 Stealth is a very nice headphone. The detail, the punchy and high quality bass, the speed. They sound a little more in your face than the SE imo. Great for many metal genres. Treble CAN get fatigueing with harsh recordings. But overall a real great headphone for the money.

What about the Hifiman Edition XS?

The Hifiman HE1000 series are great headphones wirh a wide soundstage, very good bass (quality and quantity) and very high detail. I would say the HE1000V2 does come clos to the HD800 kind of sound sig.

I would really be interested in a new flagship headphone from Beyerdynamic. A new version of the T1 would be great.

What box and packaging did you get? The v2 comes in a leather box with three cables and a booklet with a sheet which has the serial numbers of the drivers.

I can recommend a Hifiman EF400. A affordable dac/amp combi, that sounds very good and is extremely powerful.

What about the Neumann NDH 30? Fir 300-700$ i would try a used Sennheiser HD 800. with its huge soundstage, high detail and superb imaging, it sounds very good with classical music.

For gaming only i would seek a used Sennheiser HD 800. It soundstage, imaging and detail are just phantastic for gaming, especially shooters.

Did you try the Audeze LCD X 2021 version? I am very interested in those. Its often said that the bass is phantastic, high detail retrieval and not overly sharp treble. The build quality seems to be very good.

I use a Hifiman EF 400 dac only and a Violectric HPA V280 amp.

Many people may enjoy them more because of the slightly less detail retrieval and slightly higher mid bass quantity.

I think the Arya Stealth for 800€ is a very good deal, because it is a outstanding headphone. The HE 1000 series is more refined in every aspect imo.

Really a very nice headphone. I wanted to buy it and still want to, but circumstances didnt allow it. So i have to wait. The Composer looks phantastic and many reviews say that they sound even better thsn they look.

The Topping amps are powerful enough. I run even a AKG K1000 with a Topping A90D. Really powerfull amps for the money.

For vocals i can recommend the Beyerdynamic T1 generation 1 and 2. They have a very nice vocal presentation and are relatively afordable because in used edition.
