Many are actually preferring medium as well as low Z, with the CC and Aegis. This makes since to me, seeing as it's an easier to drive planar. Of course though it depends on preferences and gear in chain as well.

I feel like saying the Aegis is super quiet is selling it a bit short. I think a better way to put is dead silent. :wink:

I am using the stock configuration (pads and mesh) for the CC, and 1/4" L with Aegis.

With the right tubes, I have gotten the Aegis to stage better (more open in all directions) than the HA300MK2. I actually think due to the better balance, clarity and speed of the Aegis, that you can get bigger changes with tube rolls.

When you get the Aegis, I bet it will quell that thirst for any other amps to pair with the CC. :wink:

The HA300MK2 has more lower mids emphasis, of which creates a bit of haze. This is only obvious after hearing the Aegis directly after. The Aegis still has good lower mid warmth and weight, but it's not overdone and blown out like with the HA300MK2. You can certainly use tubes to get the...

I find the tonality I get with the Aegis more lifelike than I did with the HA300MK2. Tonality and timbre are the two most important aspects of sound for me.
