Rank the IEM's you've heard
Thought I would update my list here. 1. Noble Onyx and FatFreq Maestro SE 2. A64 U4S 3. A64 U12T / FatFreq Scarlet Mini 4. 7hz Zero 2 5. 7hz Aurora Onyx for the surround sound/soundstage feel while Maestro SE for the exciting but real punchy sound and insane details. U4S is just cause it’s...- tassardar

LAiV Harmony R2R DAC Impression and Reviews
Time domain is definitely a thing but how much can one pick up is probably as subjective as anything else. In hearing stuff, I don’t think my hearing is absolute and I know my ability to remember sound is worst. That’s why I don’t do reviews without an actually comparison switching at the...- tassardar

LAiV Harmony R2R DAC Impression and Reviews
Won’t say it’s warm, but spacious and smooth yeah. Exciting sound I think a chord will do way better. The immediacy and power is better there for me.- tassardar

LAiV Harmony R2R DAC Impression and Reviews
Well the truth is dac differences are really small and do not alter the sound(nor meant to) in a big way. The speakers matters more then any other equipment in the chain. But if your chain is already up, then maybe a upgrade to the DAC is worth it for the pursuit of the last mile.- tassardar

LAiV Harmony R2R DAC Impression and Reviews
Published my review on both head-Fi and YouTube. https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/laiv-harmony-r2r-dac.27250/reviews#review-34005 In Summary Soundstage to me was a standout. User experience from unboxing, setting up and usage was great. Sound is a little more laid back. Generally as good as...- tassardar

Review by 'tassardar' on item 'LAiV Harmony R2R DAC'
LAiV Harmony Luxurious Experience and Soundstage What does it take to compete at the high end of DACs? When I first engaged LAiV Harmony for a review set, there were 2 reasons: To support a local manufacturer who genuinely looks like they are pushing a polished high end product, and to really...- tassardar

LAiV Harmony R2R DAC Impression and Reviews
Output Impedence don't quite matter since recommendation hovers from 5:1 to 10:1 normally and expected. No volume control is something I feedback before, but my understanding is that they will will launching a pre/headphone amp in the future for it and to keep it as pure as possible at the dac...- tassardar

FATfreq Impressions Thread - Bass Cannons and More
Yah and thats what make this hobby much interesting. Something something better even on the same line can sound better to some people. I won't go CIEMS since I kinda like the fun of rolling tips. Its kinda like the flavour of the day tweak at times haha.- tassardar

FATfreq Impressions Thread - Bass Cannons and More
Hahha interesting one liner. I do agree it’s safe tuning but for this price range safe tuning isn’t enough! I did roll quite tips though after getting the MSE. With the divinus velvet it was to me just nice. I did also roll some tip for the GM, but I can’t get anything that excites me over what...- tassardar

That is very likely since customs do sit quite deep versus the universals. But customs are real tricky to audition since no tips is quite the same- tassardar

FATfreq Impressions Thread - Bass Cannons and More
Yeah it also depends on fitting and tips too. The issue for me with the GM is to get the mids and treble will require me to switch from bass mode to the mids mode. That mode lost the excitement of what it means to be a fatfreq for me haha. Then the bass mode lost way too much high end energy to...- tassardar

FATfreq Impressions Thread - Bass Cannons and More
Bought another FatFreq just last week and its the Maestro SE. I think this is the better IEM compared to the Grand Maestro, which felt like a jack of all trades whiles Maestro had that bass and sparkly highs with a elevated high mids type of clear bright sound signature. It fills in the gap...- tassardar

ATH WB LTD
Actually I am really interested in listening to the WB2022. But for almost twice the price, the WB LTD looks like a way better deal haha. My only issue is the lacquered coating in the wood won’t be able to last long if used like a portable.- tassardar

Just want to share my first impression of the ATH WB LTD. This is a limited headphone from Audio Technica. 300 Copies worldwide. Mass Kobo Portable Amps
The 475 is more laid back and airy. The Brise is also significantly more powerful in output. I had both at one point and bought the mass kobo. Brise to me was like a mini ferrum oor, I can’t actually much difference while 475 had a signature of its own- tassardar
