Elekit 300B Amp kit
Just chatted with Victor, he has couples 8900 just not the Lundahl opt. It is cheaper to ship the 8900 with the Lundahl opt together, that's all. For my experience, Lundahl is a must have.- ForSure

Official Unofficial 8XX Discussion Thread - UPDATE SENNHEISER HAS BEEN SOLD!!! GT(heck)IH
Short answer, 8XX is a better headphone, great with tube but not forgiving at all. I will treat the 8XX as my "HIFI" headphone for now since I always found the 800 OG (sold) is not easy to live with. I need to spend time with my vinyl and compare the 8XX to the Focal Elex also. My own...- ForSure

Every company has their "policy". I understand how you feel. Maybe you should go to DIYAUDIO https://www.diyaudio.com/forums/elekit/ and talk to Victor. He is the North America dealer for Elekit.- ForSure

Drop + Sennheiser HD8XX - now in final form
I believe even the sound engineer forgot how the "real" live recording once they finish mixing. I love Audiotree and I believe they hired the best sound engineers out there. However, I found all the recording have the same "basic sound" which I cannot believe all the bands should sound the same.- ForSure

Elekit 300B Amp kit
that's something elekit won't release until you purchased the kit (which they included in the kit). I remember when I was a kid, they have magazines that publish schematic and you can just build accordingly.- ForSure

I think this is why planar have a big following nowadays. Since the "speaker" in planar is much bigger, position it on the head is not as picky. And as long as you have a powerful amp than you are in business. HD800 really take a "skilled" hobbyist to enjoy the most of it.- ForSure

I don't know much about balanced thing. In elekit, the left and right signal are separated from the start and there is no cross interfere within unlike some single tube design. The Lundahl bring the clarity to another level.- ForSure

Elekit 300B Amp kit
Great review. I have the original 8600 with Lundahl and Mundorf. I found it sound best with planar headphone. I do want to change the cap to Vcap because I believe the Mundorf push the treble too much.- ForSure

Dude, Lundahl is the bomb!! I know you will love it. Please keep us update. I want to know what you think about the headphone out on this thing. My 8200DX is too powerful for most of the headphone and I don't have time to mod it.- ForSure

I think people forgot the "Pain" to own the HD800. It takes a great effort to get the best out of it, either by EQ or keep on switching amp. On top of the headphone position on the head. I found the HD800 is really hard to live with.- ForSure
