Chord Electronics ☆ Poly ☆ (wireless & microSD module for Mojo) ☆★►USEFUL INFO on 1st PAGE!!◄★☆
I'm having the same. This is a new error for me as compared to a couple days ago though. Before I would be allowed to attempt the firmware update and it would have this same popup but would say "Device Disconnected". I'm on 3.0.0.- Failed Engineer

The (new) HD800 Impressions Thread
Yes. This is one of the key areas the mod improves. The bass punch is a differentiator. Extension to my ears remains similar to stock as likely a driver limitation but the texture and punch are much improved. I haven't had a Utopia in over a year so I can't say if it is up to Utopia level as...- Failed Engineer

The (new) HD800 Impressions Thread
This is accurate, I paid $2500 for the v3 mod and purchased a used HD800 for $700. I acknowledge this price is a bitter pill to swallow and buys you any used headphone in production in good condition as well as many good OOP models. But this is the best headphone on the planet to me (my ears...- Failed Engineer

The (new) HD800 Impressions Thread
I'm not big on writing impressions but the Utopia had long been my favorite headphone. The JAR800v3 bests it. The v2 traded blows and would likely have been a preference thing but the open-ness, clarity, and bass punch of the v3 went up a notch and closed the gap on the macrodynamic strength...- Failed Engineer

Chord Electronics ☆ Poly ☆ (wireless & microSD module for Mojo) ☆★►USEFUL INFO on 1st PAGE!!◄★☆
I just picked up a mojo2/poly from the FS forum here and all seems to be okay on firmware 3.0.0 with Roon, UPnP via jplay, and MPD/SD card via Rigelian. However, it seems to be impossible to update the Poly firmware through the gofigure iOS app. gofigure says 3.2.0 is available (which I...- Failed Engineer

Summit-Fi Random Thoughts
I've been reading this thread on the sidelines with some fascination. I've suffered depression and had multiple suicide attempts in my 20s. Everyones path to happiness is different as it's individually defined, but I overcame heavy alcohol use by throwing my addiction into running. It helped...- Failed Engineer

ZMF Atrium - new open-back co-flagship
So these are my two favorite headphones by far (and I've climbed the entire TOTL wall past and present), well in the case of the Senn specifically the JAR800, but they do present opposite of each other. I do try to bring the Atrium as close as I can to the brighter more open sound by running...- Failed Engineer

Agreed. To me the best pop filters are easily poly-sinc-gauss-short and poly-sinc-xtr-short-mp. I swap between the two of them.- Failed Engineer

Try a trial of the Accurate Sounds convolution filter if you use playback software that is compatible. I think it should solve your issues. https://accuratesound.ca/product/sennheiser-hd800-filterset/- Failed Engineer

Is there a image of NAA 5 that works with Pi3? I had an old Audio Alchemy DMP-1 with massively overkill LPS sitting in a closet that works with Roon and I assumed was Pi based and finally decided to crack it open a few days ago and yup, Pi3b. No NAA image I tried worked but then I found...- Failed Engineer

Did I give HD800s a fair audition with Valhalla2 and Mojo2?
An off the beaten path that I think hit the mark is a JAR600 or JAR650. These are modded Sennheiser headphones you'd have to find used for around $500-600 or commission one from JAR. Look for a B version as they sound far more open than the earlier A revision. They punch far beyond their...- Failed Engineer

I hate to break it to you, but Zach does have ACs made from Macassar Ebony. It's my favorite ZMF wood and have one (and an AO in the same wood) and it's glorious sounding. If you hate your wallet ask if he has one in the shop.- Failed Engineer

ZMF Atrium Closed
@zach915m Any thoughts on Be2 or Verite pads with the Caldera pad perforation pattern (solid inner walls)? I like what the solid Be2 lambskin pads did and I'm an overall adherent of thinnest pads on ZMFs, but there is a loss of space with them. I'm wondering what Verite pads with solid inner...- Failed Engineer

Try Gauss1 or TPDF dithers and cycle through a lot of the filters. I'd try poly-sinc-gauss-long, poly-sinc-ext2, poly-sinc-ext3, poly-sinc-gauss-xla, and sinc-MGa to start with. Then there are also shorter filters you should try, and if you listen to a lot of pop, rock, or EDM you should also...- Failed Engineer
