Nice one! ... Project M will come on my July/August purchase list (if they are not sold out in that period^^) But at least one thing these tips make sure... the Project M will definitely get "glowing" reviews!- droid23

DUNU - Discussion/Impressions Master Thread
Some trouble shooting approach to find the suspect in this: IMHO It's not the mids per se, according to the FQ response curve when looking at it with the JM-1 target curve (which is, together with B&K 5128 measurement rig, the most universally adapted in terms of hearing physiology and anatomy)...- droid23

DUNU - Discussion/Impressions Master Thread
...doesn't alter bass and lower mids, but would give a slight emphasis on the upper mids and mid-treble region, in order to gain more clarity and headspace?" This is the s**t man, I can't believe how much better the MkII's are now (to my taste). Clear recommendation if someone has the same wish.- droid23

Mid priced IEM cables thread.
My Eros S arrived yesterday and I was A/B'ing it with the stock Hulk Mini since then. I was a little bit of a believer in cables before, read a lot, know the one or the other thing about materials, gauge size, aso... (otherwise I wouldn't have asked for your extensive expertise in the first...- droid23

DX260 Digital Audio Player, a New avenue to your music. Preorders have started. Easily replaceable battery. NEW Firmware Update! 2.02
...your Ani's, but my two DUNU's, the SA6 MkII and the DaVinci's, as well as my Himalaya's, you can hear at least the difference between FIR Normal* and FIR 2x or 4x (2x vs 4x not so much to me). My personal approach is, with high res files and/or good recordings, I leave it at Normal, and when...- droid23

DX180 by iBasso. Enjoy the view to your music. Green, Black and Light Blue.
That's always the thing with Bloom Audio, sure they make nice intro videos and are often the first to "review" hardware on YT, but thy never can really objectively compare and eventually criticize the competition. They try hard to find only small things on both sides which are "not so good but...- droid23

I can cheer you up, because in colour theory, black isn't considered a color. It's actually all colors!. Or rather, when you subtractively mix all colours, you get black. Your car actually has all the colours at once  :beerchug:- droid23

Dan Clark Audio E3 Review: Interview, Measurements, Impressions
Thanks a lot, that helped me better to decide. :beerchug: I guess I'll give the DX9 a chance. Looking at my desk again with three monitors (2x 24 inch and one 32 inch) and some other stuff, the distance between the two 24 inch monitors and the hight there, the DX9 would just fit perfectly in...- droid23

Dan Clark Audio E3 Review: Interview, Measurements, Impressions
Sure, you're absolutely right of course, it should be Ohm's law, but I read somewhere that you should look also at the voltage when searching for a suitable E3 amp. (guess here, and somewhere in the ASR forum, too. Reason was, if i remember correctly, that some amps would have enough Watts on...- droid23

Dan Clark Audio E3 Review: Interview, Measurements, Impressions
Thanks for your recommendations everyone! It gave me a good start into what's appropriate for these cans. To spend 2K on the E3, and reading that it has still so much headroom when amped properly, made me want to have good desktop setup. Ok, not a 4K amp like the CFA3, that's too much money...- droid23

Exactly, that's the pressure they build up, and one negative review of yours and you'll never get a Penon again. (If that would happen to me, I'd take all the money I get from selling the other free stuff and buy with my own money every Penon model available ...and miraculously, they all won't...- droid23

It's actually a sad catch 22 situation. You begin to review things because you like the stuff or topic and you -better have- the expertise and needed writing/video skills to publish your content. As you said @ToneDeafMonk you put a lot of sweat and time into that and nowadays high level due to...- droid23

Dan Clark Audio E3 Review: Interview, Measurements, Impressions
Hi, anyone here who uses the E3 with an iBasso DX260 (which has impressive 1W on PO)... but would that be "just" enough if I want to use the E3 on the go? Please allow another question, since the Munich Hi-End was so recent: Any new "reasonably priced" headphome amps in the region around 1K (or...- droid23

In general I get your point, and everyone's free here to post opinions on audio gear, as well as individual subjective listening experiences. We all love that, no doubt. Hey Thieme, even though I chose to quote you, that wasn't solely addressed towards you as an individual. I wanted to make the point that we can freely choose where to buy (okok, neuroscientists might not agree with that ). When a reviewer posts a link to a vendor, does that...- droid23

A) nearly all reviewers here state that they got a free sample from xyz for review, and they even write more specific things into... what's called a disclaimer. So there's that. Jepp exactly it happened to me, too... with the AZLA Clear and with the Liqueur's on the SA6 MkII, they produced negative pressure in my ear canals. It's when the IEM shell isn't vented enough and you use predominantly "sticky" tips I think- droid23

I'm definitely not a treblehead, but I found the highs a bit too safely tuned (in respect and synergy to the amount of good bass) until I put some Coreir Brass on. I understand Akros, the DaVinci is a phenomenal set for that price, but to think there are EST-like highs? This time, I didn't get...- droid23
