Mine came like that too. You have to go into the settings somewhere and turn off volume lock for spdif. Doing this will let you control the volume again.

Okay I did some more testing. 5 plugins enabled, high gain, streaming Tidal for 15 minutes, no iem attached - cool as a cucumber. Same as above but with iem connected, starts to get hot after 15 minutes, and really hot after 20-30 minutes to the point of concern. This suggests a possible amp...

It happens to every company, even those with the best qc. I've had multiple qc issues (none with Symphonium) across various companies this year and last year. What's more important is how the company responds to the issues imo. It looks like Symphonium went above and beyond in Farrellc's case...

Thanks for checking. Looks like it's just me and JimiMack having the heat/amp issues at the moment. Hopefully ours get replaced quickly and the replacement units are in good working order.

Truthear Nova is a great set in that price range. Very technical with good bass, mids, and highs. Just a solid iem overall.

Anyone try the APP2 with the new Eletech Baroque tips yet? Would like to hear some impressions and comparisons to the stock tips.

Just received my R4. Overall great sounding DAP with good design language and SQ. Tons of fun features like plugins, MSEB, and PEQ. I like the way it handles bass on my Singularity, making it sound tight and clean. Vocals can lean a touch cold and sound slightly digital but not overly so...

I like Helios better too. I found Crimson way too bright.

Do you normally use small on the stock AirPod Pro 2 tips? I’m wanting to find out if they run a little smaller like the normal Baroque tips do. I normally use a medium on the stock AirPod Pro 2 tips and I’m trying to figure out if I should order mediums or go a size up.

They’re Subtonic house tips. The Subtonic/Nightjar/Symphonium team said that they’re very similar to AET07 tips.

I’ve owned/reviewed both the Diva and Anni 23. There’s a sizable gap between them from a technical standpoint.

Any CMA Eighteen Master owners here? I'm curious to hear what you guys think of the DAC stage specifically (the amp stage is excellent by all accounts), drawing some comparisons to recent well-known DAPs if possible.

Nevermind, fixed it. The Eighteen wasn’t laying down flat. Now that it is, there’s no noise when powering down. (Edit) Anddd it's back :grimacing:
