    Tempotec V1 & V1A

I saw this comment on vortex review, can anyone tells their experience? I'm thinking about buying this but I'm using the same dongle and I'm worried the player might not work as intended. "Hello Vortex, I have a question for you m8. I own a V1, and I am using with various external USB DACs...

Thanks, this version is more up to date than the one on apkpure Nonetheless, it would be nice to download the apk file straight from hiby website :)

    Best android music player app?

Hey, after using UAPP with the Meizu dongle for a couple of months, I tried android driver with the AINUR NARSIL mod, and i've found the sound to more open and natural, just like you said. I am using "vinyl music player" from f-droid which I believe is a pretty basic music player that uses the...

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best

There is some hack available on XDA dev forum you can find but you need root and a specific android. I hope android dev will do something about it. Its quite ridiculous how poorly implemented USB DAC is at the moment. There is no issues like that on Apple phones AFAIK.

    Earbuds Round-Up

Do you have a good fit with the smabat? Maybe try to play with different foams. I'd recommend you to get the nicehck b40 before turandot to check the fit. It is cheap but uses the same shell. Some people prefer mx500 shells (like yuki) and others yuin (like Shozy Stardust, Simphonio Dragon)...

    Moondrop in-ear monitors Impressions Thread

Someone warned us in this thread a while ago that Kanas pro would get rusty after a while. It's just the material used, there is no way around it.

    Moondrop in-ear monitors Impressions Thread

Sorry if I didn't made myself clear: I have first hand experience. I tried and demoed them at the store. Both S8 and B2, S8 is lighter and smaller. This is not speculation but real physical encounter. The metal plate on b2 adds most of the weight and space. The fit is very similar though. Not...

    ikko OH10

My impressions after a month: I think the OH10 sounds very close to stuff in the 500-700usd range except when lower-mids and upper bass are main part of the music. It lacks punch and body on that part. It has its unique take, I think it sounds very engaging and fun. deep bass, clean vocals...

Did you contact IKKO about it? Its always a gamble with chi-fi. At least the earphones themselves still works.

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best

With mid-fi iems it is quite subtle. Almost more like a side-grade actually. I would say I like ikko oh10 (1BA+1DD) a tad more with apple dongle. It sounds more relaxed and open. With magaosi K5 (5BA), meizu gives a thicker, smoother sound. Using high impedance earbuds, like 600 OHM, meizu dong...

HibyMusic Android and iOS Music Player - Bit-perfect USB Output; Network and Dropbox Streaming

The automatic cover fetch is not very impressive. I find the one of vanilla music player to work better. Because it use musicbrainz database and not just a general purpose image search engine. https://github.com/vanilla-music/vanilla-music-cover-fetch But I'm thinking perhaps the current works...

HibyMusic Android and iOS Music Player - Bit-perfect USB Output; Network and Dropbox Streaming

Is it possible to increase the number of volume steps? Right now there is only 16 in hardware mode. I know meizu dongle support 64. Thanks

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best

About meizu pro, USB direct works with hiby app so there is no need to buy UAPP app. I think this feature is worth it over the regular version even though they seems to be exactly identical otherwise (that Korean review??)

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best

I tought bitperfect was a software issue only. UAPP has a bitperfect option. Is it different? Im interested to know if a DAP can do usb audio out better and how. Maybe the cable is faulty? Or the air in your home is extremely dry and you gather all the statics... I had that issue with iems in...

HibyMusic Android and iOS Music Player - Bit-perfect USB Output; Network and Dropbox Streaming

So after some more experiment. HQ usb exclusive audio access works but it's not fully supported for apple dongle. These device show as not recognized. Will you plan to implement drivers for it? I will also get the Meizu dongle soon, since it's made for android, I hope it will work out of the box.

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best

So I did some research and it seems you can do that with an app called tinymix but it requires root. If your phone is Qualcomm based and has unlocked bootloader look up for a dedicated thread on xda for how to install twrp, flash magisk and install tinymix. or this cute little script (also...

    Is the DAP dead?????

I think dongles has never sounded this good, (look at E1DA 9038s, Meizu hifi pro, even apple(!) Is amazing) It makes it not so obvious anymore to own an audiophile dap unless you aim for the $1K++ range or you hate smartphones. That and the fact that most people do streaming nowadays.

HibyMusic Android and iOS Music Player - Bit-perfect USB Output; Network and Dropbox Streaming

Hi Joe; thanks a lot for this app; I think it''s really great. I have a few questions: How to make sure that bitperect is enabled? I have a feeling it is not working on my phone but I don't see error message or confirmation. It just sounds the same. Is there a high gain mode? Would be helpful...
