Knowledge Zenith (KZ) impressions thread
I think the 1db is very very little. I think need to really listen carefully to see if there’s a difference. I currently reduce it by using either the final audio E type or xelastics. Some track that are heavy cymbals can be too bright for me- tassardar

I went to try again switch it on. I think I know why I switched it off. It increase treble but reduces sibilance. I probably need to listen it again in a quiet environment.- tassardar

LAiV Harmony R2R DAC Impression and Reviews
I think it depends on reference point. I feel is laid back compared to say a hugoTT. But if their reference is some other dacs it maybe different- tassardar

Foam tips do yup I use final audio E tips. I think Xelastics are better since final audio do make it a touch dull after reducing the upper mid frequencies- tassardar

Knowledge Zenith (KZ) impressions thread
It's amazing as long as you like the brighter signature ahah. For me I just had to turn the switch off and use a tip to further cut it slightly and all is good. I can listen to this for hours without much issue. Though I wonder if there are tips that can increase mids and reduce highs. Wanna...- tassardar

Knowledge Zenith (KZ) impressions thread
Did a unboxing and initial impression of the KZ ZS10 Pro 2 So in the video my issue was it was quite bright to me even with the treble switch down. Did some tip rolling after the video. I find final audio e tips and Senda xelastic 2 to work out for me. Especially the second one made the whole...- tassardar

LAiV Harmony R2R DAC Impression and Reviews
as with anything audio, subjectivity is very high. And unless it’s a really first impression, everything else in a review is a thought out process which will usually take in account all the factors beyond sound. That said, it was fun using the LAiV Harmony, plugged it into my Warwick bravura...- tassardar

STAX SRS-X1000 and SR-X1 Now Available to Pre-Order At HeadAmp!
im comparing against generally other headphones. Since most who buy this likely is buying their first Stax. I did also highlight the SR-X1 is quite align to what I remember in Stax except the x9000 which is actually quite filled up below. So I won’t be surprise if a general Stax user say if it...- tassardar

Astell & Kern A&futura A&K SE300
Just joined the SE300 as I got a real good deal in Japan for a used mint one. It was nice as I got to try a few other daps of similar price before deciding. I think sound wise not a question decent and good, so is the looks and amount of storage. I do feel it’s really laggy though for a modern...- tassardar

T+A Solitaire T Wireless Headphone
Passive is better just purely because there’s no way a properly designed external dac and amp will loose to Bluetooth and a amp/dac limited by the quality of chip and power supply. But is it a whole lot different/better, my experience is it depends. If plug into a low to mid tier DAP or dongle...- tassardar

STAX SRS-X1000 and SR-X1 Now Available to Pre-Order At HeadAmp!
Compared to most headphones that are well tuned, I do find the Stax bass lower with not much feel to their lower bass regions. The headphone from what I remember is really light and feels flimsy when you hold it. The part that are important are metal though so maybe it’s just a general weight...- tassardar

The Enleum HPA-23RM Discussion Thread
Due to the large difference between both port, you must really try both as they kinda change the the sound in their own way. The current port is generally wild though. That and how volume is actually controlled makes this device a finicky one that makes noticeable difference (good or bad) when used.- tassardar

Help me find the perfect sub-$150 dynamic driver IEM
If I use 7hz zero2 as a comparison, Xuan Nv will be clearer, cleaner, larger sound, less overall bass energy but tighter base impact, and mids have a little more energy. For a sub 100, the technicality is above average.- tassardar

Help me find the perfect sub-$150 dynamic driver IEM
Don’t think it’s quite possible. Unless it’s some multi DD driver system. In the end if it’s a single DD there’s just that much the driver can do in a small space. The latest dual DD like tangzu xuan nv?- tassardar
