Thanks! It seems like we ended up with similar conclusion. Pretty standard headphone amp, very competent R2R DAC.- inscythe

FIIO K11/K11 R2R, Truly Balanced, Truly Brilliant! Desktop DAC and Headphone Amplifier
A lot of people have been asking me about comparison with K7 ever since I posted my review, can you share your thoughts about K11 R2R against K7? Unfortunately I don't own it and didn't have enough listening time on K7 to make a fair judgement.- inscythe

Burson Flagship Headphone Amp - Soloist Voyager - Singapore Loaner Program
(screen is fine, just the shutter speed thing) It's been a week since I put the Voyager through its paces. I have to say that this is one of the best headphone amplifiers I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. Due to some home situation, I had about a week delay from when I received the...- inscythe

@Zeka no issues with starting up or changing bitrate. It seems like the popping is specifically happening when the amp is disengaged by switching modes or idling only.- inscythe

FIIO K11/K11 R2R, Truly Balanced, Truly Brilliant! Desktop DAC and Headphone Amplifier
Unfortunately, I kinda skipped K7 (the red one has been in my Amazon cart since forever). I haven't had a chance to properly listened to it with my gears, so I'm afraid I can't give fair comparison between the two.- inscythe

FIIO K11/K11 R2R, Truly Balanced, Truly Brilliant! Desktop DAC and Headphone Amplifier
My review for K11 R2R is up! https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/fiio-k11-r2r.27363/reviews#review-34759 I think it's a great value for those who are looking into the R2R DAC to complement their existing setup, and perhaps a gateway drug into the deeper hole that is R2R.- inscythe

Review by 'inscythe' on item 'FIIO K11 R2R'
Disclaimer: FiiO has provided me with a review unit ahead of the launch. All thought and opinions are my own. Introduction Many people would recognize FiiO from their excellent line of DAPs and DAC/amp combo in the past. For the longest time, their house sound is often being categorized as being...- inscythe

The discovery thread!
I assume this is a typo? It's capacitance of the capacitors that works as the filter here. EDIT: I guess I misunderstood you... I'm not sure about inductance affecting the treble characteristics here. Might need to check with people who are more expert. Probably similar to how internal wiring...- inscythe

The discovery thread!
It's not the case. The capacitance required to hit the sound target is quite high that there isn't big enough capacitor to handle. Hence, it was changed to 8 smaller capacitors instead. I don't see in the marketing material where they said that they have more than 1 crossover, so it is indeed a...- inscythe

Thieaudio Monarch MKIII impressions, reviews, and pictures thread
For the longest time, I have been using the QoA Margarita as the more laid-back listening to contrast with my Monarch Mk2 (I think it should similarly apply to Mk3 as well).- inscythe

FIIO K11/K11 R2R, Truly Balanced, Truly Brilliant! Desktop DAC and Headphone Amplifier
I wish they have the mode where the pre-out and phone-out to be active at the same time. I am currently planning to replace my K3s with the K11 R2R, but it seems like I have to keep switching the output modes whenever I want it to feed my speaker amp.- inscythe

JUZEAR (formerly JUNEAR) Impression Thread
Well, you can easily look at the stock cable of the SL41 and you can see that it's exactly the same cable as 41T stock cable (Juzear Limpid) with different branding. They're probably made in the same factory.- inscythe

JUZEAR (formerly JUNEAR) Impression Thread
Grabbed the Juzear Flame on the last Aliexpress sale for slightly over $90 with vouchers and coins. I remember reading that the Flame is basically a recolored 41T, but ended up not being the case. It is different enough to my ears and to my coupler. Measurement is taken with IEC711 clone...- inscythe

Cayin RU7: 1-Bit Resistor Network Dongle DAC /Amp
If this crackling happens with other cables too, you might want to check the USB C port on the phone side, there might be some imperfect contact somewhere inside. Use 99% IPA or contact cleaning solution sparingly to clean up.- inscythe

Cayin RU7: 1-Bit Resistor Network Dongle DAC /Amp
Very minor sound quality difference, maybe less than 5% improvement in dynamics to my ears when using something like TC07S. It won't change tonality.- inscythe

I personally use ddHifi TC07S cable, but if you want something a little cheaper, you can get Fiio LT-TC5S. They are both very well insulated.- inscythe

My review of the FD15: https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/fiio-fd15.27345/reviews#review-34539 I find the FD15 pairs very nicely to my new Onix Alpha XI1, as well as my Xduoo XA-10.
