    @Zeka no issues with starting up or changing bitrate. It seems like the popping is specifically happening when the amp is disengaged by switching modes or idling only.

    Unfortunately, I kinda skipped K7 (the red one has been in my Amazon cart since forever). I haven't had a chance to properly listened to it with my gears, so I'm afraid I can't give fair comparison between the two.

    I assume this is a typo? It's capacitance of the capacitors that works as the filter here. EDIT: I guess I misunderstood you... I'm not sure about inductance affecting the treble characteristics here. Might need to check with people who are more expert. Probably similar to how internal wiring...

    I wish they have the mode where the pre-out and phone-out to be active at the same time. I am currently planning to replace my K3s with the K11 R2R, but it seems like I have to keep switching the output modes whenever I want it to feed my speaker amp.

    If this crackling happens with other cables too, you might want to check the USB C port on the phone side, there might be some imperfect contact somewhere inside. Use 99% IPA or contact cleaning solution sparingly to clean up.

    Very minor sound quality difference, maybe less than 5% improvement in dynamics to my ears when using something like TC07S. It won't change tonality.

    I personally use ddHifi TC07S cable, but if you want something a little cheaper, you can get Fiio LT-TC5S. They are both very well insulated.
