Etymotic's version of diffuse field but on steroids (for the higher end models), my guess.

My kanas pro has been dusting up ever since i had my hands on the er2xr. It's just so much better in every way except the soundstage and the lack of some lower and upper treble emphasis (which i can live with), but still ended up resolving better with even more detail. Not to mention, my dislike...

I lost count of the replays I have on that song. Sawano is just a god with his compositions lol.

Thanks for the insightful replies. I suppose i'll stick with the Kpro till it bites the dust (or at the very least, until a worthy successor around the 200$ price bracket decides to show itself).

Do you personally think that the kxxs is really worth the upgrade from the kanas pro? I am somewhat on the fence between upgrading to the kxxs and staying with my (very well used) kanas pro in which i still absolutely adore since day 1. I am aware that they both sound identical rather than...

    Audio-Technica updates CKR series: ATH-CKR100, ATH-CKR90, ATH-CKR70

I initially thought there weren't much to fault about them until i stepped into the chi-fi universe (in this case the kanas pro), and boi does the kanas stomp on the 90/100 like its nothing. I sold my 90 off immediately after getting the kanas.

@chickenmoon Speaking of the Kpros, how does it compare to the 01S so far? I'm sure a few of us here are quite interested in your findings. :)

I'll see what i can do to give it a brushed look, since i am also not a fan of the shiny, reflective look. Thanks for the advice. I'd probably weep in sorrow if i was in his shoes lol.

I keep them in a case when not in use. I read somewhere in the chinese forums and i wasn't the only one experiencing this problem. Not too sure if mirror polished iems like the Andromeda S and Atlas undergo a similar thing, pretty curious though lol. I'll just leave it as it is for now and see...

My Kpe is probably the same as yours. I speculated that the cause could be due to oxidation and its slowly spreading over the entire iem (in my case). I took the opportunity to contact the seller and well, even the manufacturer doesn't know anything about it, according to the seller. I just hope...

Have you tried out the tips from the Samsung akg earphones? Perfect match for the KPE and my ears at the moment (fit might vary from ear to ear). I'm currently using the M-size one (11mm) and that literally ended my need to tip roll any further.

I am also eye-ing the Tempotec/Hidizs usb dac as well since it's quite affordable and perhaps, wouldn't be a heavy loss if i were to be disappointed. What kind of phone are you currently using? I'm looking to squeeze out as much as i can from the KPE lol.

HiFlight sold his Andro S and kept his Kanas Pro, but it could be a different story for you and others in particular. I myself also think that the Kanas Pro is worth a shot lol.
