I think when we’re talking about lower priced tube amps it’s usually better to just get a better amp than spending a ton on the best NOS tubes.

I can only comment on the Echo and the Mjolnir 2 as those are the only ones I've owned. Also, opinions are coming from pairing with Auteur and other headphones since my Verites haven't arrived yet. The Echo definitely has more of that "traditional" tube sound. Smoother treble, nice staging...

Definitely check out the Echo and the Mjolnir 2. Both incredible tube amps with different flavors/features. While I don't have Verite in yet, I've used both extensively with Auteur.

Definitely well said. I’m not sure what’s better, Zach or the headphones. Care and customer service is rare these days. This certainly isn’t my first time “on the sheets” and it won’t be my last, and yes, it will always be painful..... it’s been 10 minutes, time to refresh the browser again :)

I think I just entered week 10 myself. It's an agonizing wait, but it'll all be worth it when it comes in. Now if I could only move out of "sanding and finishing"..... :relaxed:

I may have to try out the suede strap then. I’m on one of the lowest adjustment settings on my Auteur and I do find suede very comfortable.

Sorry, I specifically mean the headband strap.

For those of you out there that have the suede headband and have experienced the normal leather headband, how would you compare them?

That really is a beautiful pair of purple heart. All of these incredible pictures making the wait that much harder. I think I'm on the other side of the burl staining. Judging from the few pics of dark-stained burls, I think it provides a nice middle ground between the more reserved appearance...
