They'll take a week or more and then just tell you to send them in via opening a service repair ticket

The Darko video on lossless was interesting too -- in that because it seems to be a sub-component of Adaptive -- devices and phones aren't necessarily even showing it up properly -- seems very hard to get a cast-iron assurance that it's upgraded to lossless and given adaptive loves to drop-down...

I use something like this with my USB dongles attached to a phone.... means the cable goes back up the back of the phone Makes things much safer.

Can't believe I left the utws5 in the box so long unloved. Pairing it up with LHDC codec and my FH5 is a joy to listen to So much more definition and texture in the bass but with so much clarity Sounds so nice No anc and no touch controls are the main downside but comfort and sound make up...

Only ones i've ever heard of doing that are the Sony's and Apple Airpods At least you can pick up the XM5's for much cheaper these days

Well, new toy to have a play with --- totally forgot i'd got a Fiio UTWS5 to pair up with my FH5's plus new phone which supports both AptX Adaptive and LHDC (supposedly better)

To a point -- but similarly we've allowed companies to get away with this "ship and fix" approach to an ever increasing degree. If a company does financially better by shipping early regardless of bugs then they will. Same with gaming, apps and now hardware. Think i'm going to change my stance...

Just gets so tiresome when product after product from all companies comes out with issues and it's always fix in the field.

Why is it so hard?!!?! Why does our brain "reset" the way we hear things so quickly! It's actually just getting more annoying and amazing how my response to each is shifting. Made a new little playlist covering 4 songs i really enjoy at the moment, a bassy edm one, drum'n'bass, country and an...

I just tested the M100 vs Earfun Free Pro3 on bluetooth "adaptive" stability. The Earfun FP3 take the M100's and just laugh at them. I left my phone on my study desk and with the M100's i can get to the kitchen (1 brick wall and 1 stud wall) between the 2 rooms and maybe a 3m straight line...

I'd not been out walking with my DPP's since i moved over to the Xiaomi. I did have an adaptive drop 1 time on the walk. Now this is the first time i've used AptX adaptive "on the move" --- so it's likely more like LDAC in that regard that these new high demand codec's are pushing the limits and...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

I prefer both the MTW and DPP for different reasons The DPP's pack the biggest punch on just bass and full sound. The mtw's are more airy sounding for me I'm using Xiaomi 14 Ultra and yes -- it's the aptx adaptive downgrading the signal when it's struggling (i find it only does that on the...

True -- the MTW isn't spectacular, DPP is definitely better. But i think the M100's is roughly the same on high frequency as MTW Not tried Sony's TWS at all. Bose Ultras were great on ANC but i found their sound lacked body Nothing's perfect :D

Decent enough -- running with the pack i'd say -- not a front runner (guessing Bose might have that crown) but not much different than the DPP/MTW -- DPP of the 3 probably cuts out the most top-end frequencies

That probably sums it up -- glad the sig works for you though -- that's always the tricky part with any of this audio malarky --- ridiculously personal/subjective I do find over the course of a month i'll lean towards one pair more than another -- then sooner or later lean back the other way...

Definitely not saying the bass is bad on these -- far from it -- it's nice, there is bass and definitely not elevated unlike DPP's for example. I suppose the signature might just be more neutral but there's something about it that feels missing

Just took delivery of a set of Cambridge M100's ..... disappointing is the one word i'd use to immediately describe them from a sound perspective to me unfortunately. The sound signature out of the box is odd. It feels really subdued and flat and like it's being held back. Bass & Sub bass...

Anyone in the market for a new phone -- can confirm that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra (and i would expect all the 14 range) are rocking AptX Adaptive natively. Getting AptX Adaptive 96 on my DPP's - definitely a superior codec.

Same with the Denon DPP's --- had 3 sets before i got one that didn't have distortion. Amazing that companies like Earfun or Soundcore can nail things around connectivity but the big boys continue to mess it up

I would work on the assumption that they're not --- everytime i've bought something via kickstarter/indigogo they've been shipped from china and got stung for import costs They include shipping costs but import duty / customs are typically backers responsibility
