Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Yeah --- initially they were pretty bad on connectivity -- wearing them outside on a walk the audio quality kept dropping down really low Dunno if that's been fixed in firmware updates -- they claim on their FB page to have focussed on connectivity vs previous model but i know a couple of us on...

Are there any secondary retention/stabalisation elements on the AKG N5 buds (wings/fins/bulges) etc?

Amazon sound quality is up there but the app is really bad and discovering features almost non-existent Apple Music i found messy as an app -- just couldn't get on with it Tidal sounds great and for the most part the app is perfectly functional -- just it's search system is horrendously bad.

I managed to get a Tidal Premium sub about 9 months ago as i was pretty amazed that for the first time i could really notice a genuine bump in SQ on Tidal My family are still on a Spotify family plan and i so want to go back to spotify --- like you said, the app/ecosystem/discovery is amazing...

Decided to go back to hybrid wireless.... was just rummaging for something in my desk and came across my Qudelix 5k -- totally forgot about it and realised i'd not tried the 7Hz Timeless with this as a wireless with wires option. Got to say the little bluetooth dac really opened up the...

Wouldn't have given them the opportunity at that price.

Shure is a bit weak on the codec support (basic AptX at best) The fiio's have a full app support via Fiio Control, can select which codecs and last year got LDAC added.

I'm gonna start spending more time with my UTWS5 + 7Hz Timeless They sound so rich and full. The UTWS5 using LHDC v3 codec which is about the same as LDAC --- looking forward to their next iteration

It's what's put me off getting the iFi Go Pods --- no app support, no EQ capability etc for such a high price Fiio said on IG that "soon" for their UTWS5 "next gen"

Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless 3 Impressions Thread

My left bud also died on my 9 month old MTW3's -- was perpetually draining no matter whether on or off and would empty the charge case in about a day Got a set of MTW4's as replacement (took about 6 weeks) --- Mostly good except for the weird ANC cut-off thing when you yawn or move your mouth a...

Wow, $1k! However amazing they are -- i think the electronics side of this still imposes that mental cap on how much you'd want to spend on something that will become obsolete/worn out --- At least wired IEM's have that non-dependency I did see one set of TWS on linsoul that had an MMCX...

Not really, better fit/seal makes the ANC work properly. The tips maybe make the sound a little darker / bassier which the DPP's don't need help on -- so i think i EQ'd them a bit to lift the upper mids and treble and i think i run "immersion" at -1 since that's just a bass slider anyway With...

Here's the difference. CP1025 is essentially flush. So pulls at least 2mm from the nozzle which means the gap needed between wing & ear canal is lessened Game changer for me

Well, the reason i love these tips is that without them the DPP's were incredibly uncomfortable for me -- to the point where i'd get serious pressure fatigue on my ears after about 20 minutes --- with the tips on i can happily listen for several hours. It removes about 2-3mm of depth on the...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Not really - i use the Spinfit CP1025 for TWS tips --- they allow a really comfy fit for me which is normally a challenge. It makes the insertion shallower which i tend to need for most TWS with wings as my concha gap isn't massive

They already support AptX Lossless which is the "best" current codec. While i agree that a redesign to make them more compact would be welcome, Denon's takeover of Nura is possibly not known to the wider public community so i assume Denon are considering these still current/new. They only...

I like both sets really... The dpp hit the hardest on bass, have slightly better anc and connection stability The mtw3 and 4 are very very similar Have to say that so far the connection on the mtw4 is worse than the 3. Had a couple of blips already which I never had before Feels similar to the...

Nice to have them back. Got my MTW4's from Senny as warranty replacements for my faulty MTW3 left bud (continuously lost charge and drained case to 0% in a day or two idle) Hope they last this time :) DPP's are up for sale on the classifieds if anyone's after any in UK

To be honest. Most tws have less potential for bass than DPP Even normal they're one of the bass thumping sets and it can be boosted to silly levels
