Ended up going to Radio Shack and buying 1/4" Stereo Plug.... http://www.ebay.com/itm/RadioShack-Gold-Series-1-4-Stereo-Plug-274-0866-/221847211089 It has three connections. Looked at some images on the Internet, connected the Red wire to the Ring connector, the Green wire to the Tip...- Codeseven7

Ah, I see what you meant now, sorry. I think that was the other problem. The first time I tried fixing it I overheated it and a couple of the wires melted off and I had to guess what went where. I don't think I got it put back together right.- Codeseven7

Hi JK1. After cleaning it up to try an solder it again I noticed the old (original) plug is bent so it's trash. I could take a trip over Radio Shack and get another similar plug but I was hoping to just use the 3.5mm plug I have on hand.- Codeseven7

Hi guys, I'm attempting to do a 'simple' repair on the plug of my trusty 'ol ATH M-50's. My last attempt at soldering was a disaster so I decided to just take a 3.5mm stereo extension cable, cut a few inches off , strip the wres back and connect that to the end of the headphone cable. Nice, thanks inthere. I've heard grumblings of that headphone being good, I'll have to look into it. At least with the name 'Marshall', it should sound good when jamming' on a guitar, the HD-25 and the others on that list I'm not so sure about.- Codeseven7
