I have the WM1A and Z1R too and also find the mids lacking, more so with the custom tunings like you. Vocals sound pushed back and thinned out so that the vocals are in the background. I also suspect V sig of the DAP & Z1R but also wonder if the DAP has excessive noise reduction or insufficient...
