Edifier Neo Buds Pro 2 Anyone connected to LDAC?
Hi. Was wondering if anyone out there have the Edifier Neo Buds Pro 2 TWS earbuds? I was wondering if anyone knew if you could connect these to a music player via LDAC. I can't seem to do it even though (I think) they are supposed to. I can only connect via SBC or AAC. Is there a trick to...- silverfishla

PONO - Neil Youngs portable hi-res music player
Seems all things that have that soft touch rubber feel on it disintegrates over time. I refuse to buy anything anymore with that finish on it. It's like the oil breaks down and it "melts" and leaves a horrible sticky goo. I ended up scraping away (with a razorblades) the goo. Still listen to...- silverfishla

The New HIBY R3 II is here. 4.4MM Jack; Improved Sound and Bluetooth.
Any word on an upcoming firmware update? What would you guys like to see improved with the R3II? I would like to see full frame display of Album Art on the display. I think it was an interesting choice to go...smalller? But for the real estate, I think bigger is better, like on the R3 Pro or...- silverfishla

Best sounding small DAP?
I have both the Tempotec V3 and the Hiby R3II. They are basically the same...and they are nothing to write home about, although adequate. If size isn't a factor, I would go a step up to the Tempotec V6 (which I also have). That one sounds really good.- silverfishla

Tempotec V3 DAP - small, powerful, functional with Hiby OS
I mean the operating system is made by Hiby. I'm sure Tempotec is waiting on Hiby to deliver updates to them. For the R3II, I believe they've only ever had 1 update so far and that has been out some months longer than the V3.- silverfishla

Tempotec V3 DAP - small, powerful, functional with Hiby OS
I think that Tempotec should tweak the sound of the V3 with their upcoming firmware update. Spread it out a little and make it not so center focused. It's a bit strident in the center of its sound. It think Hiby should make the "go to" menus, better looking and not so much like files on a...- silverfishla

It does not. It's the same as the V3. Pretty much the same operating system with the same features by Hiby,- silverfishla

Tempotec V3 DAP - small, powerful, functional with Hiby OS
I believe that this version of Hiby OS, stinks. Same as the R3II. Weird how the internals also showed a Hiby labelled battery. Maybe we should lean on Hiby to do better for these players.- silverfishla

Tempotec V3 DAP - small, powerful, functional with Hiby OS
I have the V6 with the gold wheel and I saw this. Is there anything different about this V6 besides the wheel? I couldn't find any difference except... maybe it doesn't come with a case? Anyways, that's a great deal for the V6 and think it's worth the upgrade price if you haven't bought the...- silverfishla

Tempotec V3 DAP - small, powerful, functional with Hiby OS
Actually, the Hiby operating system is probably the worst part of the player for me. I think it's adequate, but boring.- silverfishla

Tempotec V3 DAP - small, powerful, functional with Hiby OS
Only thing I can think of....have you checked to see if your EQ or MSEB is in use? If it is, turn it off or recalibrate it. Otherwise, hopefully it goes away with some burn in. I had a HIDIZ player that did that right of the box but within a day, the distortion disappeared. Good luck.- silverfishla

HiBy R3 II--new and improved: physical volume knob, 4.4mm balanced out, increased power
When is the next firmware update? Does anyone know? Would love to see some improvement on image compatibility (you know, like a lot of artwork not showing up) Is it a size limitation? Hiby, let us know. Also, can you guys spruce up the icons? I hate having to look at that menu all the...- silverfishla

Tempotec V3 DAP - small, powerful, functional with Hiby OS
Differences between the V3 and V6....hmmm. They generally have the same tonality. I would say that the V3 is more "closed in" sounding and doesn't have as wide a breadth as the V6 does, a bit narrower in scope and bit more mid-centric...but again, a very similar tonality. The V6 has more...- silverfishla

Tempotec V3 DAP - small, powerful, functional with Hiby OS
Maybe they are just testing their update process. Yesterday when I checked for an update via OTG, there was an error message. Today when I check it says there is an update but it has 1.0 (which has some Chinese writing after it) to download which it doesn't) and no 1.1 file shown. I'd just...- silverfishla

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
Does anyone here have the Edifier Neobuds Pro 2? If you have, have you been able to connect them to play through LDAC? I have a few DAPs that are able to do LDAC and I can't seem to get the buds to receive LDAC. It only shows up as AAC. Also, are these buds able to take a firmware update at...- silverfishla

Tempotec V3 DAP - small, powerful, functional with Hiby OS
I have a V6 and it's fantastic. I have the V3 and it's really great. I think there was only one person or two that complained about Tempotec's service. I for one have had a few correspondences with them through their Aliexpress store and they have been responsive in a timely manner. The V6...- silverfishla
