I installed the new firmware on JP version and it works perfectly fine. Tried Sony Music app, Poweramp, Roon Arc and no issues.

I used a pre-existing sdcard that was being used on a diff android DAP and brought it over to the 707 and I had no problems using it.

I personally think both are great but the Titan is a little bit smoother in treble for my ears. The MSE deeper fit is more stable but can be a little tight feeling after a while. I think for half the price, the Titan is a great buy compared to the MSE. I wish i had both at the same time to...

I don't personally find the treble to be spicy or harsh, but I think some people could if they are sensitive to the pinna gain region betwen 3-5K. There is a small peak at 5KHz. If anything, I mentioned in my review that having a little more here would be even more ideal to give more energy. But...
