I've read somewhere that fake sandisks register as authentic cards because they are originally legit smaller capacity cards tweaked in a way to make them say they have more capacity than they actually do.

I got a 1tb version of this and instead of formatting on the R4, I just formatted it to Exfat on my Mac since the R4 does FAT32. It's working great as Exfat

This is a great DAP for the money. Finally I can play local files, Apple music bitperfect, and youtube on a portable device with a headphone jack that can drive most reasonable headphones.
